2K Sports has slam-dunked a Developer Insight video for its upcoming NBA 2K13 for the Wii U.
The video pays particular attention to hilariously-titled Gatorade Biometric Scanner. This feature allows you to quickly view your player's fatigue level and see whether they're hot or cold; all this can be done simply by holding the GamePad up to the main screen. Making substitutions and defensive sets has never been easier - it's all available at the touch of a button on the GamePad.
NBA 2K13 is due for release in North America alongside the Wii U on November 18th. Will it be dribbling its way onto your console this year? Take a look at the video and let us know what you think.

The Gatorade Biometric Scanner is what every coach needs. It will revolutionize the sport of basketball.
This sounds like a fun feature. It's simple things like this that make the Game Pad sound so fun to use.
Glitchy legs on No.5 at 0:17 O_O
Great start but it's a nice little feature but seems a bit of a gimmick. Parts of the game look like things the Wii could sneeze out easily. It doesn't look very HD-y.
Hard to actually tell though through a video.
And in screenshot 5 it's nice to see some twins enjoying themselves. At least re colour one of them! And in screenshot 6 well, who knew you could use the force to hold the basketball...
@Tsuchiya
Number 5, every day he's a shufflin'.
Vegeta, what does the scanner say about his Gatorade Levels?
@MrWalkieTalkie
It says that they're UNDER 9000! He needs a Gatorade NOW!
Really creative concept for sports games. These features look like they can be very useful if one forgets their strategies and stats.
I love NBA 2K13, but I'm perfectly fine having it on my 360.
This is pretty cool!
@True_Hero Under 9000? That's possible!
Not enough customization. To see people's own designs of jerseys, unique tattoos and "war paint" would be more fun imo.
Sounds great. I won't be getting a WiiU on release, but when i do pick one up, I'll be getting NBA 2K13 for sure.
i have this on PS3, its a brilliant, brilliant game. Cant recommend it enough to sports fans
