The Wii U version of Madden NFL 13 has been shown off for the first time at EA's Summer Showcase. On top of the Madden features you've come to expect, the American football series will use the GamePad in several unique ways to really kick things off.
You'll be able to use the touch screen for play calling and swift tactical changes with no more than a few taps and swipes. You can also switch defensive assignments and draw out custom hot routes easily with the tips of your fingers.
Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will lead the commentary team, and you'll be able to take part in a career mode as player or manager to take yourself from rookie to legend.

Thank goodness they got rid of the two idiots that did commentary in Madden 2012. Might have been the worst two commentators I've ever heard in any sports game, and I've played plenty of them.
Traditional controls? As in... joysticks and buttons? Like the ones on the GamePad?
Nantz and Simms haven't crossed into the uncanny valley in that screen so much as plummeted head-first into it.
@RevolverLink I couldn't have said it better. HAHAHA!
im glad that got rid of Collinsworth, the dude is as annoying in the game as he is in real life. i havent played madden since madden 10 so i dont know who did the last 2...........
