If you go in to the Wii Shop at the start of the week (4th December) you will be able to buy four new games if you have the points needed. With these new additions the total will be at 21 games available on the Virtual Console, hosting a varied choice. The new games are:
- Donkey Kong Jr. (NES, 500 Points)
- Victory Run (TurboGrafx16, 600 Points)
- Columns (Sega Megadrive, 800 Points)
- Ristar (Sega Megadrive, 800 Points)
This time around four games have been released increasing the number from previous weeks. It is good to see Nintendo giving us more, but with such a massive back catalogue to choose from we will never to get to see every game game before the next next-generation becomes a reality if it carries on at the same rate. We would all like to see our old favourites now, but maybe knows we would eat them up and want us to spend our money on Wii games instead.
Heres hoping to see Paper Mario, and your favourites soon.

Columns is a great game.
Out of that list, Ristar has to be the hot pick. Columns is indeed excellent but I've played so many versions over the past decade I'm a little sick of the game, and it's also a bit of a con that Sega have released the weakest of the Megadrive versions. Ristar on the other hand is a really underrated game with gorgeous visuals and plenty of character - well worth a punt.
