Speaking to CVG the Pro Evolution Soccer producer has confirmed they have a working version of the soccer masterpiece on the Wii hardware and are currently experimenting with different control methods of the Wiimote.
Although this could all be for nothing, Konami have yet to officially announce any PES titles for Wii. However, we'd bet if the control method works we'll be seeing a PES title as soon as Q2 2007.
Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka has also heard some rumors regarding FIFA for Wii.
"Seabass also revealed that he's heard whispers of EA getting busy in Research and Development, by looking at strapping a remote device to a player's foot for shooting. Quite what that turns out to be we don't know, but you can bet that it'll have FIFA in the title."
Interesting... but I think we'd all prefer PES Wii.

It will have to work off the Wii control system well for me to get this game. Otherwise I will stick to the PES on 360 ><'
If I can use the classic or GC controllers yes great but with the wii-mote I don't see it working. Still this would be great news and attract lots of people to the console.
