EuroGamer have reported on a magazine article with Call of Duty 3 producer Sam Nouriani where he explains that the upcoming Wii title will take full advantage of the Wiimote.
"Typically the reticule in CoD games is centred on the screen. With the [Wii] game, because of its accelerometers and a position-pointing device in the actual remote, we've freed the player up, We're going to be spending quite a bit of time in the coming months tweaking that until we get it just right."
He also explained that quite obviously the game won't look as nice on the Wii when compared to the powerhouse PS3 or Xbox 360. We're confident it'll still be looking pretty damn slick and with the advantage of the Wiimote, it might just persuade some gamers to opt for the Wii version.
We'll be keeping an eye on all the FPS games coming to Wii, as it could really boost the popularity of the genre if the Wiimote plays as well as we expect it to.

Call of Duty is a pretty big title especially for the FPS crowd. This will help me bring in the gamers who have never been interested in Nintendo. The GC didn't have many major FPS's compared to the other two consoles.
Yea its' a very intuitive way of playing FPS games, looks a bit naff in Metroid tho. To turn around you gotta point at the corners of the screen which looks irritating. I heard they said it was too accurate to use it like a mouse where the screen moves with the pointer, but I think that's just nonsense.
Curious how they'll implement the aiming in this.
