The Great Fairy's Request Reward Echoes of Wisdom

In Echoes of Wisdom, the Great Fairy needs your help. And, in order to be the most stylish person in Hyrule, there's no way you can turn her down.

The Great Fairy's Request Side Quest is only available once you've completed a certain number of tasks for the Great Fairy, which means you need to spend a lot of rupees. As such, you likely won't be doing this Side Quest until near the end of the game.

This guide covers how to complete The Great Fairy's Request, how to unlock the Side Quest, where to get the Floral Seashell and the Magma Stone, and what you get from the Great Fairy.

Where to find The Great Fairy's Request Side Quest

The Great Fairy's Request is located in the Great Fairy Shrine in the middle of Lake Hylia. That means you need to clear the Stilled Lake Hylia Rift to access the Shrine.

Not only that, you also need to increase Zelda's accessory slots to the maximum amount. This is a pretty expensive endeavour, so the sooner you start saving your rupees, the better.

Once you have all five accessory slots, leave the shrine and return at any point to find a treasure chest in front of the shrine. Open it for a Might Crystal, and the Great Fairy will appear.

The Great Fairy will start scolding Zelda before eventually admitting that she has a way of making a useful accessory that will help you get all Might Crystals in Hyrule. However, she wants a piece of well-crafted jewellery in return.

She will tell you of a Gerudo woman who is known for her skills, and you'll be given The Great Fairy's Request Side Quest.

The Great Fairy's Request - Solution & Rewards

There are multiple steps to this quest and you'll need to visit a few locations to get what you need to make the jewellery. Your first stop is the Gerudo Desert.

Warp to Gerudo Town and enter the item shop, which is to the right of the entrance. Speak to the clerk there to find out that she's the person you're after.

For the Great Fairy's request, she needs two hard-to-find materials — the Floral Seashell and the Magma Stone. You can only get them as part of this quest, so let's go and do just that.

How to get the Floral Seashell

Warp to Zora Cove and head to the Sea Zora Village. Speak to the item shop owner and they'll tell you they want to try a disgusting-sounding smoothie. That means he wants an Unfortunate Smoothie, which is relatively easy to make.

If you don't have an Unfortunate Smoothie on you, there's a Business Scrub just north of Zora Cove. Give him a mix of ingredients that don't go together (check our list of Smoothies to see what does work) and he'll make the disgusting drink for you.

Here are a handful of common ingredients that will make an Unfortunate Smoothie:

  • Bubble Kelp + Warm Pepper
  • Riverhorse + Radiant Butter
  • Warm Pepper + Rock Salt

  • Rock Salt x2
  • Chilly Cactus + Bubble Kelp

Once you've made the Unfortunate Smoothie, return to Sea Zora Village and speak to the shopkeeper. He'll give you the Floral Seashell.

How to get the Magma Stone

Head to Goron City and talk to the item shop owner on the right (he's selling Rocktatoes and Rock Salt) to find out about Magma Stones. They're in the Lizalfos Burrow, so while he can get you one, he can't until the enemies have been defeated.

You can get to the Lizalfos Burrow either by warping to the nearby Waypoint or by heading east and north up the ramp from Goron City. Head inside with your best Echoes, as Lizalfos can be pretty annoying to deal with!

You actually only need to deal with the Lizalfos in the very last room, so make you way to the very back of the cave, the room with a lava moat. Then, summon some Echoes — Sword Moblin Lv. 3, Lizalfos Lv. 3, and Ice Wizzrobes are all useful — to deal with them

Once you've defeated the Lizalfos, the shopkeeper will appear and thank you. And a few seconds later, he'll give you a Magma Stone. Pocket it and leave the Burrow.

How to get the Lovely Pendant

Once you've got both the Floral Seashell and the Magma Stone, warp back to Gerudo Town and speak to the shopkeeper once again. She'll take both items off of you and make the jewellery for the Great Fairy.

Afterwards, she will give you the Lovely Pendant, which is exactly what the Great Fairy wanted. All you need to do now is warp back to the Great Fairy Shrine at Lake Hylia and deliver the pendant to her.

Head inside the shrine and speak to the Great Fairy. Give her the Lovely Pendant and she'll thank you. As promised, the Great Fairy will give you a special reward in return — the Might Bell accessory.

This fantastic piece of equipment will ring whenever you're close to a Might Crystal, making collecting all Might Crystals and upgrading Swordfighter Form much easier.
