Super Mario RPG: Bundt Rematch

There's a party at Marrymore, and that likely means there's cake to share — Bundt cake, specifically, in this case.

In this guide, we'll tell you where to find Bundt in the post-game, how to defeat it, and what your reward is for taking it down.

Where to find Bundt in the post-game

Just as it was in the main story, Bundt can be found in Marrymore, inside the chapel. You'll encounter it in the main room, right where you fought Bundt the first time.

Don't forget, you need to have stayed at the Marrymore Hotel suite and spoken to the Frog Sage.

How to defeat Bundt in the post-game

Recommended party: Mario, Geno, Peach

There are some similarities to the Bundt and Booster rematches, but Bundt is much easier to deal with thanks to a little hint in the cutscene before it.

You need to stop Bundt from having all of its candles lit up. However, the two chefs will light up one candle each every time they get a round. If all six candles are lit, Bundt will fire a laser beam at your party, dealing a huge amount of damage and instantly wiping your party. The apprentices can also turn your party into Scarecrows, so make sure you have some Scarecrow-resistant accessories equipped, particularly on Peach.

While you can blow out a candle with a regular timed hit, there's a much easier way to deal with this. Peachy's Sleepy Time will instantly put both chefs to sleep for a few rounds. That means you can focus entirely on Bundt, and reapply sleep every three turns with Peach.

Peach will be on healing duty for most of this fight as Bundt casts lots of high-damage spells throughout. So when she's not healing, have her put the chefs to sleep. Meanwhile, Mario and Geno can do their usual thing — attack. Just do regular timed attacks, especially as both characters have their best weapons on by this point.

As long as you keep the chefs asleep and keep attacking and healing, you should get through this fight with few problems.

Bundt post-game reward

After taking out the cake, you'll be given the Enduring Brooch, an excellent accessory that prevents the person wearing it from being knocked out once per fight.
