You can use Star Fox amiibo on Switch 2’s Star Fox remake, with various unlocks up for grabs.
There are 12 bonus battle banner elements - three backgrounds, and nine emblems in total - available by using all three compatible amiibo.

Star Fox Supported amiibo
The three amiibo you can use on Star Fox on Switch 2 are as follows:
- Fox (Super Smash Bros., released November 2014)
- Falco (Super Smash Bros., released November 2015)
- Wolf (Super Smash Bros., released December 2018)
To confirm, there is no new amiibo for the Switch 2 edition of Star Fox - meaning you have to track down these Super Smash Bros. figures for the
Star Fox amiibo Unlocks
Each Star Fox amiibo unlocks a new Background, and three Emblems - a paw-print, a front-facing profile and a side-facing profile - to be used in multiplayer.

Now we know what they unlock, where exactly do you scan amiibo?
First, visit the main menu, then select the amiibo icon in the upper left corner. You'll be then prompted to scan the amiibo.
Once you're done unlocking new profile options and are ready to return to the single-player campaign, our Star Fox routes walkthrough can help you take new paths you haven't explored yet.

So technically I can't get 100% without also buying the Wolf amiibo I guess?

I'm surprised they didn't announce amiibo's already for the new Star Fox. I could see them making vehicle amiibo's around the same size as Kirby Air Rider's.
Finally, my obsession with this franchise pays off! I've had these amiibos for a while, so it'll be nice getting the benefits.

@Joe11 If you really don't want to buy amiibo, there is the allmiibo. You can store practically every amiibo released so far on a single tiny device. You can find them for pretty cheap, about $30 or less.
Meh. Not enough to convince me to get a Fox amiibo. The only one currently on my radar is Majora Link because 1. Majora Link is epic, and 2. Fierce Deity armor in BOTW.
More overpriced MTX that Nintendo fans love turning a blind eye too.
@DennisReynolds these figures were released over a decade ago. They're less than $25 on eBay, and most people who wanted them already got them.
@batmanbud2 and? Its still MTX that you need to pay stupid amounts for to unlock everything. If Sony or MS done there would be uproar.
@DennisReynolds the stuff you usually get from amiibo is so inconsequential that you're genuinely not missing out on anything. You're paying for the figure, not the thing it does in the game. The only time this wasn't the case was Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival.

Wild that there is an Amiibo icon on the menu screen but very little Amiibo functionality. Wii U Starfox 0 had better perks for Amiibos, but yeah the controls were weird, however two player mode was great.
Not much to unlock. At least my Flipper Zero can handle that.
@BigRed40 Oh man I would've loved an Arwing Amiibo, the only Arwing I own is the Starlink one and a tiny one that came with the Fox McCloud figure.
@GoldenSunRM How you define 100% is up to you. A vacant selection box can be bothersome, but it shouldn't rise to the level of a compulsion.
