I unfortunately missed out on the first GameBoy, but there are a lot of great looking games for it. (Super Mario Land 1-2, The Legend of Zelda series, etc.)

Think we'll ever see it on the VC?

If it's not announced that the DSi will have a VC at E3, I don't think we'll ever see it.

Well, do you mean VC on the DSi? In that case yes, I think it is likely that you'll see those games on there, but maybe not for a while.

I meant for the Wii Shop, sorry.

i certainly hope so, but after the kerfluffle that went on about it being confirmed and then suddenly not confirmed a month ago or whatev', I'm not holding my breath. if it's going to happen, it'll happen. :3

edit: oh, wait, you meant Wii shop. I dunno... i would think they'd bring GB games to the DSi before the Wii, considering they were originally designed to be handheld/portable games in the first place.

It'd be silly if they didn't have it for both systems. If they did, both Wii owners and DSi owners could buy it - double the cash! Listening Nintendo? Nah, that's just more wishful thinking - they never listen to their fans. x-(

I don't believe that they'd ever arrive on the Wii VC. As for the confirmed-then-un-confirmed VC for the DSi, I do believe it will happen eventually. This may be a minor matter, but the structure of the menus on the DSi Shop channel implies that there will soon be something other than DSiWare available. Once you enter the shop and go to browse, you have to then make an additional click (err, tap) in order to select DSiWare, and the button for it could certainly be made a bit smaller and have room for a second button just like the Wii's shop.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

On the actual Wii? Goodness, I hope not.

Yeah, they were intended to be portable- personally I wouldn't feel right playing a Link to the Past on the tube, or any other GB game.

I assume you mean Link's Awakening. If so, I don't see the problem. Portable games based on console series always feel weird to me. They are almost always following the standards of the console version but just on a smaller screen. Link's Awakening, Metroid II, any RPG... they just don't feel like on-the-go experiences. All the portable Metroid games I mostly played at home with my GB / GBA plugged into the wall or on a Super Gameboy / Gameboy Player. Why? There just isn't enough time to play games of epic scope in a few minutes between classes or on a bus or whatever. While a GB VC on DSi would be reason for me to get the system, in the unlikely event that it came out on Wii, I would be much happier since there's no GB / DS Player for Wii for obvious reasons.
