Topic: Wii suddenly has no power?!

Our living room Wii has been plugged in the same spot for months. My wife and her friend played Guilty Party on it just last week. Tonight we go to play it again and find it has no power. All I could think was that the recent power surge had something to do with it. I thought to bring it to the bedroom and exchange with our bedroom Wii (my wife and I both own a Wii when we met) but that one has no power either. Has anyone heard of something like this happening to the Wii. They're both connected to power surge protectors and nothing else connected has been affected on either end. Ugh.

Unplug it COMPLETELY and leave it alone for a few. (also, when you plug it back in, plug it in a regular outlet, almost forgot about that part)

This happend to me. So I left it unplugged over-night and the next day it was working. Good luck!

No need to leave all night. Just pull plug out of the Wii AND the wall outlet for 2 minutes. Should be fine when you plug it back in.

I'll try that. I did unplug my bedroom completely after I had failed to failed to power it on. I'll know if this works in the morning. Thank you all very much.

This happened twice to me. Like everyone else has said, just unplug it for like 2 minutes and it should be fine.

Thats weird, same thing happened to mine a couple of weeks ago, was playing at a friends house, suddendly no power then back at home it was alright

You only need to unplug the AC adapter and the wall plug and anything in the GC slots and/or USB slots.
