I'm keeping mine where it already is to play gamecube games and because I perfer the gamecube controller for SSBB and FE:RD and all of my N64 virtual console downloads.
Keep it in my room for now, until I get more Wii U games to where I'm playing it constantly. I don't even play my Wii that much to begin with...and, I dunno...I'm tired of moving consoles back and forth between the living room TV and my computer. xD

Will continue sitting there collecting dust, as before.
Why don't you sell it then?
I find it very hard to believe that people spend tons of money on a console only to not use it at all.
It always baffles me how the majority of consumers are so bad with managing their spending habits.
That's not directed specifically at @zezhyrule, but just in general to all of the folks who say "my so-and-so is just collecting dust". You've got no one to blame but yourself.
I would sell my Wii if my family would even let me.

I can't agree more. If you have a multi-hundred dollar console and you can't find games for it, it isn't because they don't exist. It's because you're lazy. Or poor. I apologize if you are poor.
I won't be getting a Wii U for a while but when I do get one I'll keep my Wii to play GC games and I also prefer using the GC controller for SSBB. I wouldn't want to have to adjust to a different controller to play SSBB on the Wii U, especially when I'll have to do that for SSB4 so I'd have to do that twice if I did get rid of my Wii.
Just started my wii and it said messages full and started deleting now whenever I turn on my wii it's goes to a black screen.... Great just before I could transfer stuff... I hope it doesn't stay that way, I tried unplugging a few times and still a black screen

Keeping it for any files that can't be transferred and as back-up i case something happens to either my gamecube or Wii U. Besides I don't see like selling my consoles and its nice to have a collection of them. Its not worth much now but what abut in 20-30 years when its considered retro(what a scary thought)?
I plan to keep mine right on its shelf next to the Roku and the DVD player because I won't be getting a Wii U for a while yet. :3

Will use the Wii U to replace it as my paper weight, then start playing some games with it I guess.

To be fair, the Wii has been around for 6 years. It's hard to keep yourself interested in playing it regularly (it has been for me this year) with no new games releasing and the anticipation of a new console. I've only been playing it in multiplayer sessions now.
Anyway, as for what I'll be doing with my Wii, I'll be keeping it for playing GameCube games as I had a look on eBay for prices of cheap GameCube's and then prices for old Wii's and discovered just how much the Wii has fallen in value... making it pointless to sell and then buy a GameCube. I'll be transferring everything else over to the Wii U. Just 12 days to go...
