I have not seen a single TV ad for New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
I don't watch TV often, but I did see one (I believe it was on MTV since I don't watch TV often anyway). Unfortunately, I have seen several MW2 commercials though.
Somebody set up us the bomb. Wii: 8703 7486 8875 3789 I love PWN3NG NintendoLife members on Tatsunoko :-)
Have seen several New SMB Wii ads and only one for MW2. Also, when I got it on launch day there were only two left on the shelf at 10AM and none left at the next game shop at midday. When I proclaimed how much I was enjoying it on the internets two of my friends queried about this unknown game and the next minute they were on the internets talking about how much they enjoyed it. Since then the TV has been crazy with ads so I wouldn't worry about sales for this one.
We might finally have a game to give Mario Kart Wii a run for its money.

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
They had it coming. They should find out why those games didn't sell well rather than cry about it. No, I don't buy the "3rd party games don't sell on Wii" excuse or the "It's not on 360/PS3" excuse.

Mario is one of those franchises that needs no advertisements to sell like hotcakes. Remember when Brawl came out? Not a single commercial aired (in the US) and its one of the top-selling and most popular Wii Games
You people go on and on and on about TV ads, but they have such limited utility these days. They're a tiny corner, if at all, of a marketing budget and campaign.
If I was marketing a product, especially an entertainment product like a videogame, I wouldn't advertise on TV.
