Topic: Video of Roger Craig Smith voicing Sonic in Sonic Colors cutscene

If you've been keeping up with Sonic Colors, this video shouldn't have any spoilers. If you haven't and you just want to hear the new voice, I can't really help you.

If you don't know who Roger Craig Smith is, he voiced Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 5, Ezio in Assassin's Creed 2, and other things I can't recall right now.

My thoughts are, well, I think he has an interesting interpretation of the blue blur. It's definitely not bad, in fact, I like it, especially the more I hear it, but it's such a switch from the higher-pitch Sonic we've been hearing in recent games, it may take a while to get accompanied to.

Sonic finally got to puberty. Now we have to make sure Justin Bieber gets it to.

I can care less who Voiced Sonic.

I'm actually more interested in Kate Higgins as Tails. I never liked her as Sakura in Naruto, but here she seems to do quite well as a geeky boy fox who hides his nerdy-ness with his child-like mentality. Of course, she doesn't nail the part %100 of the time and it is slightly obvious that behind the polygons he is actually a she, but what Kate does hit sounds very good. Of course, Roger Smith doesn't do bad as Sonic, but the voice he portrays is a variation of what I expected from him.

I would hope most people just furiously pound the buttons to try to skip the cut scenes in Sonic games.

You mean you couldn't care less. The way you stated it means you do at least partially care about it.

Personally, the voices have never sounded that badly to me, and I don't hear much of a difference now. I can tell if voices are wooden (Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and much of the cast of the Last Airbender come to mind), a monotone or close to it (Ben Stein, although he actually plays it well for comedic effect), overly emotional, or just flat out terrible (Spider Riders comes to mind), but I'm not very good at noticing the more minor differences in quality with voice acting, nor am I very good at distinguishing the quality of dialogue (although even I had problems with some of the lines in Attack of the Clones). No, I am not tone deaf in any way. I just have a lot of trouble with social and emotional recognition and interation.

He also played as the guy from Uncharted 1 and 2, iirc

WOAH, the new voice cast are so much better than the HORRIBLE 4Kids voice cast. In fact, it's better than the pre-4Kids voice cast.
