Hello there. We have our Coming Soon List for Virtual Console game on Nintendo Life, which of course is accurate informations. However, Wikipedia decided to make there own inaccurate list. I won't just show one game, I'll show it all and explain why for once, Wikipedia is indeed wrong:

1. SimEarth (TurboGrafx-CD)
2. Emeralida (Virtual Console Arcade)
3. Final Fanasty (Nintendo Entertainment System)
4. Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
5. The Return of Ishtar (Virtual Console Arcade)
6.Shanghi II: Dragon's Eye (Sega Genesis/Megadrive)
7. Shinobi (Sega Master System)
8. Solvalou (Virtual Console Arcade)
9. Sonic & Knuckles (Sega Genesis/Megadrive)
10.World Heroes 2 (Neo Geo)
11. Space Harrier (Virtual Console Arcade)
12. Duck Hunt (Nintendo Entertainment System)
13.Earthworm Jim 2 (Sega Genesis/Megadrive)
14. Goldeneye 007 (Nintendo 64)
15. Pengo (Sega Genesis/Megadrive)
16. Pilotwings (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
17. Rolling Thunder (Virtual Console Arcade)
18. Shadow Dance: The Secret of Shinobi (Sega Genesis)
19. Strider (Sega Genesis/Megadrive)
20. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (Nintendo Entertainment System)
21. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
22. Wild Gunman (Nintendo Entertainment System)
23. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)

See the ones in bold? Those game are indeed coming to the North American Virtual Console. But look at the one that are not bold. Those games have no proofs of us seeing it on the Virtual Console whatsoever. First off, this list is on Nintendo Life is over twice as big as Wikipedia list. Next, what the heck is Emeralida? Sources are not good, they are only rumors. Also notice that there are license games on the Wikipedia list. Those games are questionble at best, unlikely at worst. They also failed to mention most of the games on Nintendo Life Coming Soon List, which actually has good source, such as Earthbound, Super Pitfall, Phanasty Star, Super Mario Picross, and ESWAT: City Under Siege.

This list is so inaccurate, you should never trust Wikipedia's Virtual Console "Coming Soon" list for anything. In fact, if none of the mentioned game on the Virtual Console gets released on June 1st, 2009, I'm taking down the list and put it with our list, which is 100% accurate. Whoever is reponsible for this fake list needs to be banned from Wikipedia.

TMNT IV is just a rumor. Also, they forgot to put in Super Smash Bros. in there "Coming Soon" list. If none of the games on the Wikipedia list comes out, I'm going to change it up and put in Nintendo Life's "Coming Soon" list, which is an accurate list.

If it is all un-sourced, then by all means remove it and put a note in the Talk section. No one will object, I'm sure.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

We aren't getting TMNT4 on VC, since the wiiware remake is coming out this year. And Goldeneye will never happen, as much as we all would love it to.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

there, fixed that for you. always do your own research, do not trust Wikipedia on its own (at least check the article's references for yourself and read their 'sources' first).

and warioswoods is right; if you've got proof some of those games indeed are not coming, or you've done extensive searches on your own and cannot find proof of their eventual release anyway, remove it and try to start up a discussion on the Talk page. you may not end up getting any answers, and you may just end up fending off a lot of (misinformed) people who try to edit those games back into the list, but it's your baby, dude.

If you do, they'll remove most of them because they don't view the ESRB as a valid source anymore.

EDIT: IGN also listed Shanghai II's release date as December 31, 2009. I'd like to know where they pulled that number from...
EDIT2: Actually, it's the same release date for a few of the other games as well. I really have no idea what IGN is thinking now.

But completely making up a coming soon list is better than the ESRB? Eh, I say forget Wikipedia. I'd never trust a supposed encyclopedia run by six-year-old pseudo-intellectuals. I tried editing a page a couple times, once to fix incorrect information, and once to fix incorrect grammar, and in a matter of minutes both were reverted to their original states without a reason given in the Talk page. It's not worth bothering yourself.

No, only partially. A lot of the games on that list is just educated guesswork, mainly using "it was released outside Japan originally, and is now on the Japanese VC, so it's probably coming" logic. Don't be surprised if games like ESWAT and Skate or Die never appears on the American VC.

Namco arcade puzzler. It's on the Japanese VC, and might very well make it here as an import.

Beat me to it. You can't rely on Wikipedia for squat.

Actually the only reason earthbound is on this one is because everybody was hoping. It got canceled.

At least it's evidences. Better to have an partially accurate list like ours, then an rumors list like Wikipedia.

That's an effed up list, but wouldn't it be funy if they were right?

Who Are You?

ItsFuzzyPickles

It would. On one hand, the Virtual Console would be dead within days. On the other hand, we would at least have license games.
