It hasn't been here in Europe since 2008.

Oh yeah, and I heard Badknux (who has already left the site ages ago) was attacked by Junichi's reply, which says this:

What the ** are you on about Badknux? "except for a few titles that are really memorable." Only A FEW titles that are really memorable? HA HA HA! Thanks for that! I needed a laugh on this miserable morning ! Feel free to voice some of your opinions again tomorrow morning as well, because I might just want a good chuckle again ! Please don't develop yourself a decent knowledge of retro gaming, if you do that I wouldn't have anyone to cheer me up in the morning! HA HA HA!

Best thread ever.

It's really a shame why this sequel hasn't come to Europe. 9/10 score is superb, but why no EU release? I just don't get it...

There's a lot of games that haven't come here yet. Super Turrican 2 is just one of them.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Actually Super Turrican 2 is a strange one for Europe to be missing. The Turrican series was huge in Europe and the UK where the C64 and the Amiga were the systems of choice for the 8-bit era (I know the Amiga is 16/32 bit machine, but the Megadrive and SNES still did better).

I'm not really sure people in the US have really heard of Turrican other than from the Megadrive and SNES versions - I'd be interested to find out.

That actually is a little odd. I'd think they would jump on the chance to release it over there. I imagine it would sell much better than it ever did here. Maybe some legal reason?

@madgear: I've played Turrican for the C64 before. Thought it was good, but Super Turrican was better.

Of course it's better - it's newer and on more powerful hardware. That's where it started and how most people know it, though.

There's also the dodgy Megadrive versions of the original Turrican and the renamed 'Universal Soldier' (Turrican 2)... They are pretty bad - C64 versions on VC would be ace.

Yeah I thought the C64 version would have been one of the first C64 releases on the VC - especially with us having Turrican titles on there already. I wonder why we haven't seen it yet.
