Newegg is having a sale. I ordered Geometry Wars: Galaxies for $10 with free shipping and I am going to be getting that today as I live in the LA area (Newegg announced a month ago that they to same day delivery for LA area residents if ordered before 3 or 4 in the afternoon).
That is not Amazon's price hike. That is Pieceofmindmedia's. Amazon does not control the cost on them items as they are just shipping it for the business or person. Amazon is not actually selling you the item, they are just shipping the item to you. They collect a comission off of what the seller makes.
That is awesome you get same day delivery from NewEgg though.
If you want Geometry Wars, check Best Buy stores. They had them in the cheap Christmas game boxes around the store and at my local one they had all of those marked 1/2 off so I picked up GW, Harvey Birdman and Deadly Creatures for a total of 25 bucks (well $5, I had a $20 reward zone certificate also)
