Topic: New Kirby's Return to Dreamland Videos will hype you

I've never played Return to Dreamland _{going to change here real soon} but epic Yarn was... well epic. Other than it being too easy it's definitely one of the best games on Wii.

Super Mario Galaxy and NSMBW on an LCD TV? D: I want. Have you played Metroid Prime 3 on it yet?

Playing co-op on the snow world (I think it's the fifth world in), was magic. I loved every part of that world with a passion. It was almost as awesome as Wario Land Shake It!'s snow level. It was towards the end of the game and tbh, my brain almost melted. _{If not my favorite level from that game definitely up there very very high.}

What a stupid plot twist Kirby's Return to Dreamland has... I get all the ship parts on Popstar, then as I'm flying to the alien critter's home planet, the ship gets shot down again?! Ridiculous.

Never played Epic Yarn, but I love the soundtrack and visual style. I have Return to Dreamland, and I absolutely love it. Best Kirby game since Kirby Super Star.

The game is pretty fun, but I just don't get he Kirby vibe as strongly as on the handheld sprite games. I swear the levels and characters look exactly like levels from Super Smash Bros Brawl, and it's really hard to get past that for me. And it's insanely easy. I've played it for about 4 hours and easily beat the first planet/world whatever. Not my favorite game, but it's not mine either. Good fun to play with my sister.

This game gets repetitive after a while, especially considering tendoboy's aforementioned spoiler.

How is that ridiculous? It doesn't shatter again, you can still use the ship.. There were already Energy Spheres on that world scattered. That scene was just to show you who shot it down in the first place.

Is this game supposed to make me feel as if I'm playing Kirby Air Ride? I'm freaking loving this. I have never experienced so much nostalgia in a Kirby game before. It reminds me of Kirby 64 too, and even Super Star. Speaking of Super Star this is the best Kirby since then. I've only beat the first world but dang.

I love the music. It sounds so natural and memorable. Really captures the vibe of Kirby. The power ups are really neat this time around. More moves, cool combos, and the specials towards the end of the level where you just demolish everything in your path. Gorgeous. The controls are smoothe as well, and knowing there is content to unlock after collecting all the energy spheres is a warm welcome.

The visuals, oh man the visuals.... Breathe taking. I need to see these on an HD TV. I think they're better than Brawl's to be honest. Grass in the background blows in the wind, lava is very detailed, THE WATER, explosions and really, every thing else looks mucho bueno.

I can just imagine the multiplayer too... And the boss battle was really fun on the first world. Fairly difficult overall. Nice change from the past Kirby's "Button mash and you'll win, for sure." method.

I just got this game for christmas and I'm loving it! This is Kirby at his best.
Pure Platforming bliss! I still can't decide if I should get Epic yarn though.
It just sounds really odd since Kirby doesn't even enhale in that one. It looks nice though.

I'll be honest. I've owned this game for nearly 2 months and haven't opened it yet. Didn't feel like playing a Kirby game immediately after another Kirby game.

I dont know what that is but yes you need to play that Mr. Kirby is too easy.

I didn't think Donkey Kong was that hard, it seemed pretty average to me. Except for the Temples but you learn them in a few tries.

Anyway yes you sure do need to play DCK Returns. If you're looking for a challenge that's a great choice.
It makes the Snes DKC games seem piss easy. You might even be tempted to throw your controller a few times.
Reminds me of the good old days when games made you earn the victory.
I probably will check out Epic Yarn eventually. Once I see it for cheap somewhere.

You can get a mess of lives of Donkey Kong though. If you die it's no biggy and you get to go again. Unlike older games were you have to start all over. There's also well placed checkpoints.

It wasn't hard for me either. A nice little challenge though. Did you go through Mirror Mode yet? Especially on the temples, it gets fairly hard.

I don't see the reason in lives. It's pointless to get a game over screen to just turn around, reselect your save, go to the level and try again. Completely pointless.

No, I don't really feel like going through Mirror Mode. I also have 3 temples left I haven't done... I was playing with a friend then he stopped so I felt like beating it. Then once I did I didn't feel like playing anymore. I want to go back later though and get the rest of the Puzzle pieces though.

Btw since I have OCD I want it my file to safe 100%. I'm gonna go bananas if I can't get to 200% which is going to be harder to complete.

In my first run through I 100% it. It was fun but I prefer Mirror because of the challenge. Having one heart and making it through each level with some checkpoints is a fun achievement.

The reason you didn't think DKC Returns was hard is aparently because you haven't finished it.
Get through Mirror mode and the rest of the temple stages then you'll see how hard it can be.
The final secret stage you get for clearing all the temples will challenge you for sure.

I've already beat the game and the Golden Temple I beat it a friend's house. My file is the one where I haven't gotten the last 3 temples yet. The only thing that was hard about the Golden Temple is if you mess up you go all the way back.

Though I don't consider Mirror Mode to be part of the main game and I actually see it as a cheap way to increase the difficulty.

Pfft. You guys are all amateurs. The Golden Temple was so easy compared to some of the others (mainly the Volcano Temple in World 8).
