Hey N-Life! I got an Albatross in Frisbee Golf on the Classic course B Hole 14: Par 5. I haven't seen any other videos on youtube of people getting an Albatross... am I the first!? Anyone from here get one?

Yeah, A double Eagle I suppose! On Wii Sports Resort he says "Great Albatross" but I have heard that he says "Double Eagle" on Wii Sports.

Albatross is three under par (aka only possible to achieve on par five holes) for those wondering. Excellent job on that one, Dazran. That looks quite tough to pull off.

Thanks man! Appreciated =)
I thought Albatross was a universal term for a 3 under par shot for either Golf or frisbee golf? I can't believe a few people a confused by the term lol.
Like Klapaucius said... It was the skim across the water that left me in a good position to go for the Albatross. Getting the height off the skim across water can be tricky, and the distance too, sometimes it just bounces into the cliffside and drops into the water.

Nice shot dude, bit o' luck with the bounce, but nice shot.

That was sweet.

Anybody disc golf in real life? I have a bunch of courses were I live and it's a blast.

I never have, but I just found out about a nearby course, so I'll be a disc golfing fool soon enough.

You can play in any large park, just pick a tree to aim for and off you go, when you all 'hole out', find a new tree. Good fun. I need to buy a better range of discs mind, two doesn't suffice.

I only have one disc. Is it so bad to play without multiple range discs, or should I go pick up a set? I was under the impression a course had something you actually had to make the disc in, like a basket or something, not just hitting a tree. I wonder if that's all this park has. It says 21-holes. Maybe they just counted the trees and said, "Hey, we've got disc golf courses."

Just the one will do i suppose, I only bought a 2nd one as I was inspired by some guys I met doing it once, they had a little shoulder bag full of different sizes and ranges filed neatly inside. I imagine they are pricey for a ready made set, so I'm just gonna collect a few over time.

Proper courses I imagine will have the little net things and bunkers, but just for fun I like to pick a tree (or bench, bin, lamp-post, anything that is a target) far away, and see who can get there in the least shots. You need a BIG park though or it'll get boring quick. I'd love to take it more seriously someday but I know there is no facilities for it in my boring sleepy town.

Ah, I think this one is official, so it'll have nets, hopefully. I don't know anyone to play with in this area, so I was just going to try it by myself and if it's fun try to get friends from home to come play some time.

I have played frisbee golf once in to the real net (net which contained the pole with chained basket just like seen in the TW PGA Tour 10 frisbee golf). There was only one net though, which we approached from few different paths. I can only guess how much more fun it would have been in the real course with multiple nets.

Anyway it was quite much fun at least with few people to play and compete with.

Never played the real deal, would love to though! We don't have anything here in Ireland for Frisbee Golf.... not that I know of anyway. I'm sure I could get an Albatross in that too if I played haha

Cool video and great "albatross" (I did not know this term for 3-under par either). I know about the bird called the albatross, which can sometimes be a mariner's symbol that changes your luck.

In real life -- disc golf is very fun. The way with "making up your own hole from a tree" is ok, and it's kind of like Wii Sports Resort (where you just hit the vertical column of space anywhere, no need to get it IN the basket).

The way of playing on a real disc golf course with designated tees & official PDGA style baskets, is the most fun to be had in this emerging sport! Play with 2 or 3 discs to get started: a driver & a softer putter, plus a mid-range if you can get 3. They tend to cost about $10 per disc.

Try the Course Directory to see if there are any disc golf courses in your area (not sure if this is only USA):

Thanks for the link dgold, I now know where my nearest PDGA course is, unfortunately its 100 miles away in Shrewsbury. I'll stick to hitting trees for the time being.

Anyone get an Albatross in Wii Sports Resort Frisbee Golf then?
