There is a big difference between the games. One, I can play. The other, I cannot.

My opinion is unique, I can't play turn based rpg's. Even during Paper Mario (which I love) I find myself zoning out due to the boredom of the grind, and the nonsense that is a turn based battle. I don't know how you all do it.

I love me some Mario. I really, really do. But c'mon, we're talking apples and bananas here. FFIV is the better RPG. I am so stunned these two are even being compared. Now, FFIV Vs. FFVI...there is the question. Of course the answer is VI.

Super Mario RPG is my choice plus it's one of the best RPG games in General, it's not insultingly Hard like Final Fantasy 4 DS, also in Super Mario RPG the story is funny, there are memorable exclusive characters, Great Secrets, Gameplay easy to learn and fun to mastered and The Graphics show the SNES powers over other 16-bit Systems, i play Final Fantasy 4 Advance as well as the lying Final Fantasy 2 (SNES) and from my point of view Super Mario RPG is better then the Original Final Fantasy 2 (SNES), Final Fantasy 4 advance and Final Fantasy 4 DS (do to 4 DS stupid difficulty i have no choice but to say Super Mario RPG is the best even do 4 DS vastly improved everything from previes versions), also before Super Mario RPG i hated RPG since as a kid i thought these games where Retarded do to there Gameplay and uneasy settings, thanks Super Mario RPG however i finally get why RPG are the greatest plus i went from hate to love of the genre so i have great respect for Super Mario RPG.

They are being compared due to their availability on the shop channel. Outside of the two, it's just Secret of Mana and maybe Breath of Fire II for good SNES RPGs.

I found that FFIV is harder to get into (maybe it's just that I haven't played FF games that much). Super Mario RPG will seem better at first, but after you get used to FFIV, you'll change your mind. This really isn't a fair comparison, though. They're both great in their own way.

But... your username is the best part of IV...
