Topic: de Blob 2?

Anyone getting this game? There isn't much talk about this game with Zelda Skyward Sword and the 3DS stealing all the main headlines for the first two quarters of 2011. However, with improvemnets made to the first game (including using A to jump) this could be a real hum dinger. Anyone getting this baby? Its alreadyjust under £26 on amazon uk

Me!! I absolutely loved the original, and considering the enhancements they've included (side-scrolling sections, yay!) I can't wait for this. Right now it's my most anticipated game... well, tied with Okamiden, but certainly my most anticipated game for Wii. I love the humour as well, the cut-scenes were brilliant. February 22 is the release date, am I right?

Yeah. I'm hoping the improvements will round out the game. I really enjoyed the first!

Its a good Feb- March for me: Mario Sports Mix, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Okamiden, Mario vs DK Miniland Mayhem, Pokemon Black AND De Blob!

De Blob 2? I'm not sure if it looks good or not, but it should be ok.

Is it coming out on ps3 too? Or am I thinking of another game?

I rented the first game once. Pretty cool almost Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4-like approach to a 3D platformer.

Probably not going to buy this for a long time due to 3DS taking my money.

I'm hoping for a 360 demo that I can try out.

I do not get why everyone likes De Blob so much. I thought the concept was cool, but it was very repetetive. I got tired of it quickly.

I agree. I thought the game was cool at first but then it just became a chore to play. I never ended up finishing it because it was just the same thing over and over again. I thought the multiplayer was kind of neat, but nobody ever wanted to play it with me. Needless to say, I got rid of the game and could care less about a sequel.

Yep. de Blob was far too repetitive and the waggle jump was frustrating. The collect ink-avoid obstacles-paint buildings mechanic was pretty frustrating too. The concept, music, visuals and overall aesthetic were great though. I really hope they make it a completely enjoyable experience this time around.

Really? I am so excited for the game... I thought it was thoroughly entertaining!
Great music, and a good level of difficulty meant that I was never really to stressed about finishing levels while I played. The self contained challenges were quite hard but overall, there weren't too many issues with finishing a stage in the allotted timeframe.

I plan on buying both the wii and ds version at the moment, though I will wait until I read the earliest reviews to ensure that they don't treat the wii version as second rate in their attempt to appeal to the xbox360 and ps3.

The DS game is meant to be an entirely individual game. Not just the adapted or parred down wii version
