So, we won't get SMAS+SMW unless Reggie gets stalked by Weegee or something.
As the only difference between the two is that Luigi got his own sprite.

Hope I'm getting this for Christmas. I don't think I've ever even tried SMB. 1 or 3! o_O I have to force myself to not download the VC versions because I want to wait.

You know what? I think I'm going to get it myself instead; I'm so scared that I won't be able to find it if I don't get it for Christmas (yeah, I'm paranoid, but whatever), and it's not that expensive... My wishlist is already quite long. Never mind my rambling, I'm definitely getting this one way or another. XD

I don't get this. I have all the SMB soundtracks already and I have all the original NES games and AllStars for the SNES. Unless you have small children that never played the originals this one has me scratching my head.

Send me the best you've got. Send me your strongest machines. The fight my brother fought, here, now, will end with me.

Then it's obviously not for you. It's not rocket science; not all releases are for everyone, and not everyone has everything you have already.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.
Urban Champion is GLORIOUS.

I also buy VC games I already own just for the convenience.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Well any gamer and Nintendo fan should have what I have...all of the original mario games and their soundtracks, it's a no brainer, clearly.

Yep, it's a no brainer. This release will satisfy nobody and won't sell a single copy.

Even though I have these, I might get it anyways. Atleast for the novelty. And the booklet

The main reason why people should get this instead of the VC version is because at least with a game disc you can play it on multiple Wii consoles and if the next home console is also backwards compatible then you can still play it next generation. If I want to buy the new Wii I'm not aloud to transfer my data or shop channel purchases. the disc is definitely more flexible.

I'm getting it as an excuse not to hook up my NES. Hopefully, my little 90s CRT won't die any time soon.

Oh no doubt those mindless lap dogs that eat up everything Nintendo feeds us will suck it up to add to the 10 other versions of the same game they own.

I'm mainly getting this for the soundtrack and booklet, the game is a mere bonus to me

Just a question out of curiosity; are the games being displayed in 16:9 (widescreen) format?

With kind regards,

a little off topic, but is this somehow confirmed? I sure would like to transfer my downloaded games if wii 2 ever comes out...

to be on topic I bought this collection for the convenience and box prettiness. now I don't have to plug in the snes like others have said.

No.

Black borders left and right.

I also have a question of curiosity - for PAL gamers, do you have to actually go into the settings and select 50hz before playing or is it just played in 50hz automatically? I ask because 50hz VC games run without having to change the settings so it would be the biggest crime ever if it doesn't even play on when you select Start on the disc channel initially - never mind the fact it's slower and with borders on top of that.
