Topic: Columns (MegaDrive)

I'd like to post a thorough thought on this game, as usual, but I fear that if I do then it'll constitute as a review (and that's not my intent). Just trying to share my thoughts, not trying to make a review, I don't want to do harm [refer to my Toy Story (SNES) thread to find out what I'm talking about]. [Great, now I'm worried about the most silliest of things!!!]
Well, to put it briefly:
Columns is the most addicting puzzler game ever created. I like the fact that each three pieces go down in columns, and you only choose the order of the jewels and not rotate it like in Tetris. And the music that accompanies it all sounds mesmerizing. Not to mention, the more levels you progress, the more the difficulty rises high, and it's one of those games that involves using your head. Plus, how about those combos you can make, and it's also fun to create combos in any way imaginable.

Anyone else think Columns is a good (or bad) game?

Columns is a decent puzzler to play every now and then.

I used to play it for hours at a time freshman year in college and loved the hell out of it. Don't think i've really played it at all since then. I was (and am) a huge Tetris fan at the time, and discovering Columns was like finding a cool new Tetris sequel. Perhaps i'll dig it out and fire it up this week.

Yeah, Columns is fun. Still, I wish I could say more without feeling like I'm breaking community forum rules (damn my constant worries of guilt!!!!!). o_0 Then again, I'd find it hard to write a one-page summary of Columns anyway, so, for now it's okay how much I typed up. I worry too much, that's my weakness!

Columns rule. im not to into puzzle games (im the worst tetris player in the world) but i like columns. something about just oozes class.

I like columns though it can get difficult, have it on the Mega CD and the PS2 as well, seems to have been included in a few collections.

I enjoy Columns very much and I think Columns III is underrated as a VC game. Both are worth the Wii points in my opinion and I enjoy the game much more than Puyo Puyo. Maybe one day Columns II for the arcade will arrive

I played columns on the Game Gear and enjoyed it. I don't think it's particularly special for a puzzler, but most aren't. It was lots of fun when I was a kid...now I wish I had my Game Gear with me.
