@BassXO Why can't you just turn it off? I've done it. Wait do you mean just turning off the wii, or turning off the function?
If you just turn off the Wii without first going to your Home, the suspend state doesn't work. But most people don't do that and won't want to do that every time they don't want to create a suspend state.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
SUSPEND PLAY ON Press the HOME button after playing and go back to the Main Menu. Next time you start the VC game you start from where you left off. Note: N64 games don't support the suspend feature.
SUSPEND PLAY OFF Press the POWER button after playing. (Don't press the HOME button and don't go back to the Main Menu.) The next time you start the VC game you start from scratch. If you don't want to press the POWER button, press the HOME button and then click on Reset while you're in the game.
Why would you want to turn suspended play off? That's a great feature and it's not that hard to push home and reset. But you have to click 2 buttons to do that, I know 2 buttons is a big task these days.
I guess if you want to argue for the authentic experience. (I've heard of a few people get stuck on ActRaiser's "you can turn the system off now" screen after using the in-game "quit" option. Kinda surprised S-E didn't try to disable that, though SoulBlazer and Illusion of Gaia will have that problem if they ever get released.)

I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
