sometimes i find Sean Aron watching the ping pong matches. I didn't figure out he enjoyed table tennis...

I actually enjoy a game of it IRL, though I'm not terribly interested in it virtually.

If they ever make a sequel to Wii Music they should do something similar to Wii Sports Resort where you can import popular Mii's from the Check Mii Out Channel into the game. That's a really cool feature.

Finally found a copy I could afford. Should have the game in Friday or next week. I can't wait to hear all these songs you guys have been talking about, and to compose more Chicken Brutus cheerleader songs. For those who've already added me back when I rented it, feel free to send me stuff any time, and others feel free to add me. I'll put my Wii code in my signature as soon as I dig it up, but it's somewhere in this monstrous thread.

Sean Aaron pops up a disproportionate amount of times in my games that feature Miis. It seems like he's always there cheering me on in Mario Kart, or springing for front row seats at my Wii Music jams. He's my little guardian angel he is.

I REALLY need to get back on this game and finish my off-time masterpiece. I just hope tha avalanche of songs I've received in the meantime won't be enough to delete anything I might have saved...

Am I the only one here that's had the game since launch? I actually had it pre-ordered and everything

I got it on Halloween last year, which was relatively close to launch I think, but now I don't remember exactly when it came out. I played it a whole lot for the first several months, then got involved with too many projects at work and so forth, and didn't play it for a while, until I picked up a balance board and started playing with the drums, and then this thread eventually came along to give me another good excuse to keep working on videos... if only I had more time! On that note, I'm still planning to put up that site sometime soon, but for the next several weekends I don't know if I'll be able to put any work into it.

Alright, so I finished that off-time experimentation last night. I might re-record it tonight as I kind of dropped a major turd during the ending, but we'll see how inclined I feel later on. I'll send it on to you guys for your appraisal. I think it turned out great. Flawed, but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Thanks for the songs, Wario. I especially like Chariots of Fire, though I'm not sure how I feel about the rock drum set in it -- not what it's playing, but just the sound of the particular instrument mixed with the others. Also, I'd forgotten just how creepy Mongo is, haha.

Hopefully I'll have some songs coming you guyses way soon, but for now I have more Fat Princess to play. If anyone hadn't added me when I rented the game, let me know, and we should exchange FC's now that I own the game finally. I have a few songs I can send already saved from my rental, and I'm sure I'll be making plenty more in the near future.

I think the drum set would have sounded much better if I'd rerecorded it instead of just letting my first decent take stick, or maybe if I'd slowed it down to record that part more carefully; but yeah, that's the part I should probably rethink, because otherwise I feel like I was on to something with that arrangement. Maybe I'll get around to trying a different drum set on it sometime soon; my problem is that, once I come through to the end of an arrangement and have all the parts, it's hard to convince myself to go in and fix things, so I feel like the finished product is always close to what I wanted... but not quite there.

Yea, I have the same feeling. I'd rather just move on to the next new thing when I have something decent done. It was a very enjoyable listen nonetheless.

Okay, I "finished" my experiment. Basically it's more than off the time signature...it's off even the phantom time signature I tried to set for it. But there are boring reasons for that.

Anyway, I'm very happy with it up through the second "chorus." After that it sort of trails into sloppy bass mopery and a hurried ending. I'll go back and re-record some of it if I can think of a better way to pinch it off at the end...but 3/4 of the song is pretty much exactly what I was going for, so I'll be curious to know what you all think. Whew.

I think it's horrendous, an offense to humanity.

But I may change my opinion once I've heard it.

Adam: I sent back a version with a different drum, which gives the whole thing a more regal and subdued feel, if you ask me. I sort of like both versions, though. I also sent the new version to a couple others here, so you guys can pick which one I should delete -- I hate keeping two versions of one of my songs.

Um...I DID send it, but I'll try again if you don't have it by tomorrow sometime. It's possible that I disconnected my Wii before it actually decided to mail it out.
