Topic: Any info on the rumble mode and ghost saves issue?

I just wanted to put this up for any info relating to the lack of rumble and ghost saves on VC games.
Anyone know the real reason why these two things were not included for VC N64 games? Any rumors? Any info on a fix for this (official fix or otherwise?) I wonder if the original code to activate rumble in some N64 games is still in the vc emulations. If this is the case, then maybe someone other than Nintendo could come up with something to enable the rumble feature. What's everyone else think about this? Any thoughts?

The Classic Controller Pro, is said to have, by nintendo this is, or well, capcom maybe, to have rumble, so going with that, i would assume we get rumble for vc soon, Ghost data is another story.

I'm surprised its not fixed yet. It can't be that hard to incorporate can it?

I'm pretty sure the whole "No Rumble" issue is because companies would have to change the coding of the original game, which, if I'm correct, is hard to do because the original game was coded in an old coding language that's been abandoned for almost a decade. I probably am wrong, but I think that's the basic idea.

Oh, and you can't save ghost data at all? I never knew that.

In Mario Kart 64, ghost data requires a Memory Pak, which was a separate peripheral.

StarFox is right there, the VC does not allow saving for games which needed a Memory Pak.

The only reason Nintendo axed those features is because of sheer lazyness. Pretty much all homebrew N64 emulators support ghost saves. If some guy in his basement could do that, surely Nintendo can too? The same could be said about the rumble feature. It's present and fully functional in the Game Cube emulation of Ocarina of Time (in that bonus disc that also included Master Quest), so it isn't like Nintendo can't handle that feature either.
