I absolutely adore this game and it would be a shame if it did not reach 1 million!. I bought it on day one and to this day i still play it! According to vgchartz its at about 850k( not taking vgchartz as doctrine). Not sure if that includes digital.
Another sales thread. Apparently there's no retail Pikmin 3 disk copies left on the US market (the last copies seemed to sell after the Pikmin short movie release), and it seems unclear if there's going to be reprint. There are still some disk copies on the EU market, but they seem increasingly hard to find the last weeks.
So for now, it seems like digital is the way to purchase this title.

Sorry i could not help myself with this sales thread. I see plenty of physical copies at my local Walmart and Gamestop( In the States).
I hope, because I would love to see a Pikmin 4 on the Wii U.
Considering how long it had taken Pikmin 3 to get out the door, I don't think that we will be seeing Pikmin 4 during the Wii U's lifespan (especially with those sales).
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I got the digital copy from the Kart 8 promo. Here in the states we were very limited on our choices so if only 10% of a million Kart 8 owners got the game just from that it would be darn close. Like was said above, I'm pretty sure it's already there.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

I think we will. As soon as Miyamoto finishes his Star Fox game and other projects, I'm sure he'll focus on Pikmin again. It's seems to be the only game he cares about as of the last few years. Most of the models and engine can be used from Pikmin 3, just how Pikmin 2 re-used a lot of things from Pikmin 1.
If VGChartz is accurate (not saying it is, or even likely to be), then Pikmin 3 is absolutely, without a doubt above 1 million when you include digital. I would be very surprised if it had fewer than 150,000 downloads from the Mario Kart 8 promo alone. I'm sure that everyone in North America got either that or Wind Waker.

It still makes me sad about the NA choices for that, I'm sure if they got the same choices as EU then Sonic Lost World and The Wonderful 101 would've been chosen plenty (the former due to the free Yoshi and LoZ DLC).

Exactly, I hope so anyway. The fact that Pikmin 3 took this long to release didn't have anything to do with taking a long time to make the game. They just thought it would be a better release for the next generation, the Wii U, and stalled it.
I'm dying for another Pikmin game on the Wii U The Wii U and it's gamepad just make too much sense for this game. The sales though...

I'm not sure if it'll reach that number physically, but if you include downloads of the game on the eshop the number most certainly has surpassed 1,000,000 sales.

Its a pity Nintendo has not released the digital download stats. If the game has hit if million you would think there would be some announcement of some sort.
