I think upgrading Wii Sports for Wii U was a great idea and clearly lends itself well to a paid DLC model and I hope Wii Sports Resort games will be added in time. Wii Play and Wii Play Motion seem like good candidates for the same kind of treatment (though I would expect a lower price for unlock/rental). Some of the games would lend themselves quite well to Gamepad use too - Wii Play 9-ball could use the Gamepad to line up a shot by sight as you would on a real table in an intuitive way, for example, not to mention the ghost-hunting game from Wii Play Motion which could have a player using the Gamepad to eyeball the ghosts and direct the ghost hunters.
I can't imagine this isn't on the drawing board at Nintendo already, but I'm curious to know what others think and how some games would look with Gamepad controls - assuming they're a natural fit.
I think Nintendo is planning on having the entire "Wii" series from the original Wii ported to the Wii U eventually along with the new stuff like Wii Party U. I think a "Wii Play Club" would include all of the games from both the original Wii Play and Wii Play Motion but it would probably be called "Wii Play Classic" since the "Club" part of Wii Sports Club comes from sports clubs. I could also see a "Wii Party Classic" coming to the eShop since Wii Party U is an entirely new game. Wii Music U has also been trademarked by Nintendo so I could see that including all of the content from Wii Music plus more. I also think Wii Sports Club will get all of the Resot's sports since Golf in Wii Sports Club includes all of the courses from both the original Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.
