The way the whole thing was set up made me feel like it was. Sure the muppets in the video was cool and all. The presentation as it was, was just showcasing games we already knew about. Oh and of course New 3DS game's.
So now over to you. Do you think this E3 was Nintendo's way of killing off the Wii U? I'd like to hear your thought's on it.
Cheers

Yes, it was. It's over. NX must be a Wii U replacement. They really managed to kill both Wii U and 3ds at the same time.
This isn't fanboy rage. As someone who has easily spent $800 on Wii U. I would have preferred they just kill it and say, either Wii U games will be on PC, Xbone or ps4.
I think it proves they can't do It alone. Without third parties they are sunk. I have thought this whole time Iwata should be fired. Even when they announced mobile games to try and create revenue.
I know they will try again with NX. But if they don't have third party support to round out the dry spots. They can expect no different an outcome next time. Outrageously disappointing.
They need new leadership
To be honest. I don't wish they get their stuff on other platforms but i do however wish they stop this draconian approach with 3rd party devs. It puts them off.

Yeah, unfortunately the writing is on the wall. Either that or they didn't care what people thought of their E3 beyond the NWC. That's my best guess anyway.

I feel you with putting so much money on this console. Oh how the mighty has fallen they need some leadership here comes the people saying it's fine.
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I'm currently playing Faith The Unholy Trinity, Dead Space( remake), Crow Country and Steel Rising.
Hopefully Nintendo learns their lesson from the Wii U, and prevents it with the NX.
This E3 was a dreadful event. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed with Nintendo, but I also feel hopeful that they will learn the errors in their methods and improve for next year (hopefully...).

Yea. Either way it was a naive way to deal with it.

I can't imagine Nintendo releasing any major titles for the Wii U beyond 2016. I think there may be a couple more remake games we haven't heard of yet like Mario Sunshine HD or something, but there won't be any more games of the scope of Bayonetta 2, SM3DW, or Zelda U after next year.
People saying the Wii U was finished (i.e. Nintendo moving on from it) in 2013 and 2014 were calling it too soon, but I'm almost certain 2016 will be the last 'big' year for Nintendo titles on the console.
I mean, it's not as catastrophic as people are making it out to be, but yeah. I don't understand how someone can not see that the NX is clearly a Wii U succesor.

Thing is they need to get devs on board right away and not be so strict with creative freedom.

....Nintendo already said it's not replacing either system...

And there is absolutely no way it can be a mobile device, due to Nintendo saying it was a dedicated gaming platform.

Wouldn't really call 2015 a big year either. I've been sticking up for Nintendo for the longest time but sometimes you got to be firm, Tell the truth and tell it how it is. Sometimes you got to be cruel to be kind.

....Nintendo doesn't have enough employees to make games for two different consoles at the same time, let alone three.....
Do you think NX games will just magically appear out of thin air at Nintendo?
