They'll probably animate the popular franchises if anything.
Or, I dunno, stuff that looks like it'd be cool to animate. Like Rayman or that one Lightning girl from Kid Icarus: Uprising. Certainly none of the poses from the main cast.
I dunno about that. We didn't get anything during the invitational although I think they should of showed the pac man trailer at the end of it instead of the Roundtable.
So does anybody think we might see a Boss Battles mode with stage bosses+ Master/Crazy Hand in place of Subspace bosses? I could see it as a Wii U exclusive mode or something, since it seems like there'll be more stage bosses in that version than in the 3DS one so far.
Boss Rush mode? If it was like The Arena from Kirby Superstar, then I'd certainly be for it.

Why does everyone find the "animated trophy" idea so hard to believe? The picture that looked extra derp appeared to be mid-blink when the picture was taken. I had that impression even before seeing the pic Ubisoft showed. Maybe his torso floats up and down a bit. I dunno, but the idea that they're animated seems very likely to me.
They could animate it, but I don't think that is the case. His face is like completely different. I more or less thought that this was the same target facial expression as the other one, except his eyes are wide open.
EDIT: Or did I misunderstand that you weren't talking about the differences between the trophies O_o
I'd definitely be down for a Boss Rush Mode! It could even have exclusive bosses for those bosses that would be too extreme to be average stage hazards.
If there's going to be bosses in one of the Wii U version's modes, they'll most likely bring back the Boss Battles mode from Brawl, except with the new bosses instead of the Subspace Emissary ones obviously. It works a lot like the The Arena in the Kirby games, and considering this is Sakurai we're talking about that isn't surprising. The stage bosses might not fit into the mode, especially if there's a good number of "actual" bosses to use. They seem more like stage events than bosses anyway.
@Kewlan Actually, considering the Wii Fit Trainer trophies we saw from the E3 footage, I'm willing to bet that playable characters will get static trophies. Maybe on animated trophy each. Maybe.
