Hard? This is one of the hardest Mario levels I have ever played!

From what you guys are saying, guess I was wrong about 3D World.

@mega We all like what we like and I'm certainly not judging here, but I think you'd be missing out if you didn't give 3D World a try. I agree that 3D Land and the New Super Mario titles are easier than the Mario games I played growing up, but in my mind they're still worth playing.

And yes, the 4 post-game worlds are very challenging and rewarding, while the first 8 worlds I breezed through very easily.

My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

This game is really great!!! Many professional gamers, hardcore Nintendo fans and couch gamers will all agree with how amazing this game is and how chaotic and fun mutli-player can be!

Trust me, despite the craziness of the bonus worlds and multi-player chaos, this game is worth it.......

The more, the crazier, the funnier!

By late January, Super Mario 3D World sold nearly 2 million copies. Since that's a two month period, I'd say that's rather impressive.

As I know, thats only phisical copies, we didn't know how many poeple buy it digital.

Haven't beaten the crown world yet but only tried for one short session. Hardest Mario level ever, which is surprising because SM3DW might also be the easiest Mario game ever.

Mario 3D World sold 1.94 million combined as of December 31st, so by now it should be over 2.2 million.

You sure about that?

I agree, the final world in the main game just blew me away.

But, Mount Must Dash....just wow.

@Luigi789 3D land was my least favorite Mario game out of what I've played (Pretty much all aside from obscure ones), so it's kind of obvious why I wouldn't like 3D World... also I beat 3D Land in 6 hours, and no I didn't use the cat suit... I feel like it was a huge waste of money, especially since I find it has no replay value. Kind of scared same thing would happen with 3D World. So since it's your favorite, I take it you liked 3D Land as well?

***3D Land Spoilers below***

Did you unlock the bonus stages? If it only took you 6 hours you probably only played half of the game (the less enjoyable, hand-holding first half).

The first part of the game is ridiculously easy (which is a little off putting at first), but that is literally only half of the game and the bonus levels are more challenging than the first half.

The second half of the game can only be unlocked after beating the first 8 worlds. Even after beating these levels (I don't want to spoil to much) there's even more content to unlock. Try the game out again. It'd be a shame if you missed out on the real meat of the game.

I enjoyed 3D Land and World, but I much prefer the REAL 3D mario games with explorable worlds, aka Mario Sunshine and Mario 64. I really hope Nintendo makes another open world adventure platformer Mario game. Nothing like Nintendo adventure games in my opinion.
