Of course Callie would lose when I picked her. How frustrating.
On another note, I'm happy Marie won, though. Maybe Splatfest isn't as rigged as I thought it was.
@VeeFlames I've picked water starters on my first run in every game so far.
On the subject of the Splatfest, commiserations to team Red, you played admirably, but you couldn't stop the motion of the ocean, or the leaves of the jungle.
Alright! Today's the first day that I've done well with an E-Liter 3K! I guess after all that practice with the Splatcharger, you kinda get used to the motions, even when it's horribly slow.
I wonder if they have some sort of screwed up algorithm to figure out winners instead of it just being a flat win-lose score. Anyone ever play Neopets like 6-8 years ago during the (still yearly) Altador Cup? They used that screwed up algorithm to determine team winners and it would always choose either the same team over and over, or pick one that clearly lost due to the averages being messed up. That was the stupidest competition game, this makes me think of that. I wonder if they tweak results or something, maybe not by hand but a computer does it maybe? Anyway, I do find it absolutely weird that this always happens. I can totally predict which side will win before anything's begun. Even if I'm picking the winning side by personal choice, it still is annoying to know how it'll end before it's begun. There's no challenge. That's why I don't play this game anymore
had some great matches today with several excellent players ranged between levels 5-20, most notable among them some "Arriel" with stylized letters, boy did that squid hit with a blaster! plus it seemed like we pushed each other, had two or three matches where we both finished with something like 15vs10 splats or better.
so I'm finally back at A-, the losses due to connexion issues are wiped clean.

@Lycidas it gets worse than E-Liters. You start to get Blasters and Dynamos who know what they're doing...
On the upside, the weapon variety gets slightly smaller, so you have to learn how to deal with fewer weapons. I haven't seen a fellow non-kraken Splat Roller in ages.
@TheXReturns: of course, it depends on the mode. Splash Walls seems to be the favorite in Rainmaker, but not so much as in TC, where it's all blaster hell.
@TheXReturns: Currently Rank S and a proud Bamboozler MKII user. It's difficult to use but it's an amazing weapon. The downside is that weapons with a longer range are sometimes difficult to reach and splat.
