I've looked and can't find any settings anywhere, so thought maybe I would come here. It's becoming annoying getting a Notification on my wiiU home menu thinking an update or new feature is being added, when I click it's a stupid sporting event being promoted on the TVii app. I don't use TVii app, but can't find any settings on wiiU Settings menu or the TVii settings menu to "Opt-=out" of notifications from TVii. If it were possible I would delete the app from WiiU, but can't. Anyone have any suggestions to remove these unwanted notifications from the TVii app?
Why is there a different thread almost everyday of someone just complaining about something they don't like? First there was the guy who hated the voice of Miis in Mario Kart, then there's the guy who's complaining that all Fire Emblem characters look the same, now there's this. -__-
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

You having a bad day or something? Dude, I simply came here for a little tech support and when I ask for something I feel I should leave a reason; so that's what I did. Didn't realize coming here asking for some idea on this, hoping others may of had a solution, would lead me on your turf where something like this is unacceptable for you.
You should be able to turn them off. You're looking for a SpotPass setting somewhere. The New SMB U notifications were annoying me so I turned them off, don't remember how, assume the same is true for TVii.
............. but I wouldn't know because I don't have a working TVii app
Some playlists: Top All Time Songs, Top Last Year
An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
In NSMBU you can turn off the spot pass in the options menu for the game. But as far as I can tell, there is no way to turn off the TVii spot pass. Which is irritating since I don't watch TV, don't use TVii, and I don't care for sports.
It isn't a huge problem, I think the topic creator was just asking if he had missed something and you could in fact turn off the notifications, since for other games and applications, you can.
