Topic: Should I Replace my Wii U Power Adapter?

I noticed something when I took my Wii U out of its travel backpack after coming home for Thanksgiving Break:

Should I worry, or shouldn't I? Is this the kind of problem that I can ignore, or should I worry about it getting worse, or damaging the Wii U? How urgent is this problem? A refurbished power adapter straight from Nintendo will cost $25 (I'm apprehensive to buy a cheaper one somewhere else that might be faulty), so I'm a little hesitant to go ahead and get it. At the same time, who knows how long they're going to be selling replacement parts?

In fact, I could just tape it up with some electrical tape. I mostly just don't want to damage the Wii U somehow.

The outer plastic has come loose but the exposed wires don't seem to be damaged - if you're not planning on moving the Wii U very much you could apply some thick electrical tape for a temporary fix. It might be worth investing in a replacement for the future though, especially if you move it around a lot.

@Monkey_Balls: Thanks. I travel with it constantly, so maybe I should at least have a back-up.
