Hm. I'd feel that's too risky, I mean are any more copies in production now that the studio is defunct? I think it might go up in price instead, end up as one of those games that becomes hard to find because of the circumstances...

Apparently according to the above article THQ or whoever is in charge of liquidating their assets is preparing to auction off a few more of their IPs. So this could mean that whoever gets the Darksiders IP might be willing to finish the series.

Someone up there IS listening to me! But seriously, I really have my fingers crossed, I've been getting everyone and their dog into this series, it's so underrated.

Hopeful that Nintendo, Retro or Platinum makes the buy.

I agree. To be honest Darksiders is one of my favorite games this generation but at least the possibility exists for future titles. I enjoyed this gen Red Faction games also.

Yep, all we can do is hope that it's bought by the right company. All we know for sure is that it's going to be handed over to a new team or left to die, since Crytek isn't interested:

Can I bid for Dakrsiders?

Well, I finally finished this last night (my review's here: http://www.grouvee.com/games/128-darksiders-ii/) and then jumped straight into Skyward Sword. I immediately realised how much more I like this franchise. The more rational part of me knows that this is likely the end of any quality Darksiders games but I still really hope that someone can rescue the franchise and port the first game to Wii U.

If you have a PS360 I recommend picking up the first. It is just as good if not better imo.

If I did, I would. I'll be keeping my eyes glued to the THQ auction to see what becomes of Darksiders but I may look at getting a backwards compatible PS3 next year. I love the Wii U and I'm getting to catch up on some Wii games I missed but there's not a whole lot of games I'm looking forward to right now.
