To all game developers: if it takes more than 5 minutes to get why I should get your game, DON'T PUT OUT A DEMO.
ironically the one demo in the past year I played that actually worked was Project X Zone, which should make no sense because it's a strategy game. But it's not exactly the most complex one, and it got down the important part. Japanese voice acting, anime, gaming fanservice, Marvel vs Capcom battles. You just happen to move these characters in a turn based grid map. And it got that down PERFECTLY. Also helped that one of the characters was from the latest Sakura Wars, which I had played just recently.
Bravely Default's wasn't bad exactly, but the lack of real story was...not ideal. And games with game mechanics that take a while to get into should probably NEVER release a demo.
Nintendo of Europe also confirmed the direct in theit Twitter. It airs on 5.9.2014 at 00:00 CEST, so same time as the American one. This probably confirms the release date for Europe as well.

It airs one month later...at the same time? You dang Europeans and your silly dates!

Keep it PG-13-ish.
This is great and all, but as much as I like these single game focused Nintendo Directs it's about time we get one that covers more games. We need a Smash Bros. release date, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker release date, more details on Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and some info on one or two of all of the games coming to Wii U in 2015.
As for this, I hope they finally clarify how Bayonetta is going to be packaged with Bayonetta 2 in North America, as well as the pricing for it.
That's...already established. You get both games in one box for $60
Hmm, guess I must have missed that. That's good news for me, I like collecting physical versions.
@Xiao_Pai Europeans arrange the date by size (might I add the most logical way) i.e. day>month>year.
But Lz said one month later, the date just says two days later...I DON'T GET TEH JOKE!!! xD
Because he is read it as an american i.e. month>day>year, also you killed the joke @Xiao_Pai lol.
Technically I killed it but you made me so yeah.
I don't know how he killed it. I mean, when you can't count to 10 and 9 (september) is right after 5(may), then something else is dead.
I'm confused now???
WaLzgi made a mistake (or it's a joke nobody understands). The Direct is on 04-09-14 (4 september), in central Europe the time will be 00:00 when the Direct starts (though 23:00 or 11:00 pm in the UK). 00:00 is technically 5 september, so 05-09-14. The tweet from NOE is correct.
So... ''It airs one month later...at the same time? You dang Europeans and your silly dates!'', this doesn't make much sense, no matter how you read the date, the European or the American way. Because it's either the 5th of september (the correct date), or the 9th of may... which isn't one month later.
I always found it weird that Americans do this as order of size is day>month>year.
Because of how most Americans say dates in long form. "September fourth, twenty-fourteen" is much more common than "the fourth of September, twenty-fourteen."

Psst... May 9th (5/9) would be one month after April 9th (4/9).
