Not to be mean as I also own the Wii U version but doesn't the 3ds need to have some exclusive content to actually help sell the game. I know we all want the content across both games but I like to think of this more as an extension of what most of us already own. It might not be as ideal to play on the 3ds but that's a choice we all will have to make. But let's at least hope they figure out some type of transfer of at least part of our save files.

@Spoony_Tech: It doesn't need exclusive content because the vast majority of 3DS owners will never own a Wii U, also if you have it that the only way to obtain the bonus content on Wii U is by buying the 3DS version then the Wii U fans will buy the 3DS version anyway.

Anyway I'm very disappointed about the exclusivity though holding out a small bit of hope it's exclusive in the same way Black Ops 3 DLC is Playstation exclusive rather than the Halo 5 is Xbox One exclusive type.

I would of thought the extra 40m 3DS users over Wii U users would help the game sell. I'm very inclined to not get it even with the extra stuff as the Warriors game are (or so I'm told) very water down compared to the home console versions on the 3DS, I'll wait and see though.

There's another theory about the story exclusivity. Only exclusive in the form of not being part of the 3DS transfer but rather there being some kind of download for the story on Wii U.

Unless it was a mis-translation there's very little wiggle room with " the Wind Waker and Linkle stories will be exclusive to Hyrule Warriors Legends."

That could just mean exclusively coming with the game, while the content could be offered separately on Wii U. Kinda a stretch but it could happen.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Well the context is when they are explaining what will only be on Legends, it could mean Legends will be coming to the Wii U rather than DLC but I don't see any wiggle room for those parts of the game coming to Hyrule Warriors.

"It’s also important to clarify what’s exclusive in Hyrule Warriors Legends. Once again, all characters will be available in the 3DS game as well as the original Wii U title. But the Wind Waker and Linkle stories will be exclusive to Hyrule Warriors Legends."

Like I said, kinda a stretch

@Tsurii: I agree but think it's more complicated than that. Linkle's story features Twili Midna and how do you get that character in the Wii U version? By downloading the Twilight Princess pack or the season pass so I wonder that maybe you have to own both the 3DS version as well as at least the Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask DLC packs (Skull Kid is also involved so I could see you meeting up with Tingle somehow) to unlock the Legends stories in the Wii U version.

Doesn't the 3DS version have all the DLC characters in from the start? Maybe you'll be able to transfer those as well if you don't have them on Wii U.

I think they confirmed that wouldn't be possible really early on.

@Dezzy, your argument continues to be weird and unnecessary. In this case, examples are evidence — these people are analyzing a creative work, they're not assessing a frame rate; you won't find an objective conclusion. And I didn't mention the E3 lists because, once again, I already said that the simple ratio of gender representation in games is not the entirety of the issue. I also said that I feel representation of women has been slowly improving. Both of these statements address those lists.

I have repeated my stances (which are not radical) to you plainly time and again, yet you continue (in this and other threads) to go on some bizarre crusade against the reality that this is a genuine issue by throwing pages of hardly related links at people and making nebulous arguments about some sort of unreliable web of media. You clearly can't resist downplaying the issue, and yet by throwing around "witch hunt," fearfully talking about women "replacing" your beloved characters (hint: they're not), and obsessively trying to prove that derisively calling someone an "SJW" is alright, all you are doing is proving that the issue is alive and well. I'm sure you will post a response to this; if it's as vacuous as your previous arguments, I won't be engaging with it.

Once again, back to Hyrule Warriors Legends. Yeah, compatibility, data transfer, and shared content between the 3DS and Wii U versions of Hyrule Warriors seems to be the elephant in the room. It's hard to process any news about the game until we know the situation — the completionist in me is a little afraid of dropping $40 on what'll amount to Wii U DLC come March.

It's hard to do that when people keep enagaging and bringing up this sudo-social political debate and then say let's leave it at that...hint.

I wonder it they will throw in any Koei Tecmo/Warriors characters in this game?

@arronishere, when I post a simple, straightforward opinion and then get baited into an outmoded and frankly bizarre argument with no basis in reality, I'm gonna have to call it out. Also, the word you're looking for is "pseudo," and politics had nothing to do with it.

In any case, I doubt any "Warriors" characters will make it into this game — it seems like it would be a little off-message, for lack of a better term, when doing a Zelda spinoff. We could look to history, though — have they shown up in any of KT's other Musou spinoffs (Gundam, and whatnot)?

Now with my main characters at a decently high level I decided to go through Legend Mode on Hero difficulty. Just finished the 4th level and that was tough!

Also, one thing to note about Legends is if the pattern continues with the Wii U character select screen then it'll have 7 new characters (there's 6 character column followed by a 7 character column and finally the update + paid DLC (Cia, Volga, Wizzro, Twili Midna, Young Link, Tingle) form another 6 character column). We know 5 (Tetra, King of Red Lions, Toon Link, Linkle, Skull Kid) which potentially leaves 2 unknowns.

How do you get Tingle? I think he's the only character I don't have.

@Spoony_Tech: DLC I think. I recently got the game and bought all the DLC before even starting, and right off the bat I had him unlocked.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

@TeeJay: I got all the dlc and i haven't seen him yet. I think i have one more character to unlock in Adventure mode though and that might be it.
