In Kotaku’s interview with Nintendo, Miyamoto has made it clear that the Zelda tech demo which was screened at E3 will be coming to the Wii U as a full game. He had this to say on the matter…
“This is an HD system, our first HD system, and we want to create a real HD Zelda game for it,” he said. “You will see a lot of these in-depth and deep experiences in terms of visual style. You will also see some play styles that are fun and interesting because of the play structure.”
I don’t think anyone could say this isn’t good news? Excited much?
Does it really need to be confirmed that there will be an HD Zelda on an HD Nintendo console. I think Zelda has been on every Nintendo console this far.
Lol,anyway this is good news. It's great to see Nintendo working on a real new Zelda and not a remake! Man I bet this game is going to be beautiful too! I hope the gameplay will match the graphics and I can't wait to see how they use that new controller in a Zelda game. This is exciting.
What! HD Zelda! Next you'll be telling me there's gonna be HD Mario!
Craziness I tell ya.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

All the children try to run, To him its part of the fun. His branching arms are for collecting, His face is empty of expressing. He sometimes hums a lowly drone, He will wander 'round your home. Dressed in darkest suit and tie, He won't let you say goodbye.
wtf, why would anyone not want HD? EDIT @ signpainter, lol that's good, because I was just about to say wtf were you posting that here on a family forum. O___o
@AirCop: Yeah, that's what I came in here to say. This is still good to here, because now we know it will be more like Twilight Princess's art style, and not something like Wind Waker.
EDIT: damn. that didn't come out right at all. thats what you get when you try to spell a word out of smiles.
har har har harrrr i think i just got what u were trying to do just a couple of smile faces off the left and right side leaving the middle the way it is then add one smile face on top of the single one then a few more then u got your self something there, the rest can go to ur imagination for which im not responsible for
Um... not to rain on the parade, but if you read the quote closely, I don't think he's confirming anything specific. This just looks like yet another case of the internet running with something based on a misinterpretation of a single comment.
This is an HD system, our first HD system, and we want to create a real HD Zelda game for it - so he's only conveying their desire to create some sort of Zelda game for the Wii U in the future. He does not directly link this statement and wish to the Zelda tech demonstration shown at E3, as any sort of promise that the game shown there is in or will be in development.
The most optimistic read of his comments would be: Our E3 demo was made to show how impressive a game like Zelda could be in HD with all the added power, and that is the kind of deep gaming experience we'd like to create. We like thinking about the possibilities for HD Zelda.
That's it. Nothing in particular confirmed and no specific relation to the demo shown. If and when they start actually planning or developing an HD Zelda (and you can bet that they haven't begun just yet, with wrapping up Skyward Sword taking all of Aonuma's team's time), you can bet that they won't be starting from that tech demo which was drawn from upgraded Twilight Princess visuals, but rather from new ideas that may or may not resemble what we were shown.

Im not going to bank on what happened at E3, cause then we might all be dissapointed if it turns out to be an HD Toon Zelda. (Wind Waker was a great game, just not what was expected because of the maturer looking fight between Link and Ganon the year before)
Exactly. After all these years, you'd think everyone would have caught on to the fact that these console tech demos have little or nothing to do with actual games in development. Even if they plan on creating a game in the same franchise as the one shown, it isn't likely to resemble the demonstration.

Not confirmation of anything except that most news sites that published this interview with the title "HD Zelda Confirmed" can't read, but even that is old news.
Not really exciting news anyway. Of course they're going to make a Zelda game. Too bad it'll be about as far off as Smash Bros. since it likely hasn't started development either.
