Muteki Corp and Choice Provisions are finally releasing Dragon Fantasy Book II: The Black Tome of Ice on the North American Wii U and 3DS eShops next week! The game is a sequel to Dragon Fantasy Book I: The Volumes of Westeria, but the gameplay is vastly different. The first game in the series played just like the early NES Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior games, however the sequel releasing next week is a lot more similar to Chrono Trigger than the Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior / Quest games.
The game will apparently be one singular story this time around and will clock-in at around 50-60 hours in length! That's MUCH longer than the original Dragon Fantasy title!
This looks cool. Any chances for this series coming to Europe?
I shall support them by getting Shütshimi soon. Got all the BIT.TRIP's and lilt line on WiiWare, then the BIT.TRIP COLLECTION on Wii and RUNNER 2 on Wii U.
I'm starting to think that the crew of Nintendo Life despise RPG's as they still haven't reported this news and haven't covered any other news regarding the many great JRPG's releasing on the Wii U eShop this year either.
@Neko_Ichigofan They only make full-fledged announcement articles for triple AAA games. Indi games get their little shine of popularity in the weekly cover of the Nintendo Download.
