Topic: Dear Editors Please Stop Doom and Glooming Us. Seriously.

Dear Editors of Nintendolife,
we are kind of sick of hearing about why Nintendo sucks from you. I know I'm not the only person that feels like this. I'm sure you guys could think of stories that make us laugh, give us hope, or talk about some of the hidden features of the Wii U. I started reading this site to get away from all the doom and gloom and frankly for a website called Nintendolife, you guys are doing the total opposite.

Some of your editors have tried to deliver the bad news with comedy, and that is appreciated, but others seem to sadistically say mean things or repeat things we already know. We don't need to hear about the next publisher or cancelled series. We need to hear about the series and the publishers that are still supporting Nintendo, or games that might be coming soon from Flash, iOS or Java developers.

On Tuesday you came out with about 9 stories and only 2 of those stories were remotely trying to avoid the "doom and gloom - rain on our parade" stance that every media organization has taken towards Nintendo. I'm not asking you guys to lie to us. We all know what shape the Wii U is in in terms of not supporting the biggest game engines from some of the biggest publishers and that a few American developers believe it's risky to develop for the Wii U. We know. What we are asking you to do is try to come up with interesting stories and not just troll bait us with more bad news.

There are a lot of things to write about. The negative stories you guys are posting are lazy and easy to write. Please try harder to fit your namesake or at least balance them with something positive.

Did you know they named the site nintendo death at Halloween, just putting it out there.

Don't like it? Go to another site. This is their site, not yours.

I wouldn't mind if they posted something like a picture of a litter of cute puppies at the end of a "Death to Nintendo" story to cheer us up a bit. Kittens, or stories about a man wrestling a shark to save a child while on vacation. Or even a cute cosplay outfit.

If you are going to give us the bad at least give us a ray of sunshine or a silver lining story.

Yes lets be ignorant to everything thats going on out there. We only want happy stories where we live in complete bliss while the real world just goes by around us. Seriously they just report on whats going on out there. Believe it or not negative stories about Sony and Microsoft are out there too .

But in all seriousness, yes, Tuesday was a rather depressing day of news. But whatever happens that is Nintendo-related must be shared with us, good or bad, otherwise how could NintendoLife be a trusted news source?

I see where the op is coming from but it doesn't bother me at all. I like to see what others think about Nintendo. This is a serious problem for Nintendo and they need to work their way out of this! If this CHRISTmas is not a success for Nintendo's Wii U then you can expect the doom and gloom to reach its ugliest level for Nintendo since the N64 was announced. I hope they come out of this as well as they did with the 3ds but only time will tell!

Please @bunnyking don't get too fed up with the articles. Nobody said that NintendoLife isn't allowed to post many unfavorable articles about the company. They are only trying to be informative about everything Nintendo-related, whether good or bad.

Too bad a certain member is banned otherwise this topic would really blow up!

You should also write to every news site, considering these stories come from them

My dear friend, news is just news you can take anyway you like.
If you don't like it, there other sites that can feed you lies, untill you feel better. Unlike you, some of us like hearing the truth.

Negative news gets more hits.. Hence why there are more negative news articles..

What else would they post? There isn't really that much going on at all with the Wii U right now, so they've got to keep stories going somehow. Editorials are a way to do that, as are some negative news.

Also, it's not like it's all negative. There's plenty of positive stuff too. Just look at many articles regarding the 3DS, or whenever a good game comes out.

Yes, because if you don't like what a certain website does regularly and cannot seem to change it for the better, just leave.

Them not writing about it isn't going to make Nintendo's problems go away.

1. The editors here don't edit these things "for their enjoyment (seriously that would be messed up if they actually are!)" anything that happens that is Nintendo-related, happy or otherwise, is from others news sites, Nintendo itself, Youtube, etc. Which brings me too...
2. If we don't know what's going on, then how do we know what to expect? I.E. Knowing why E.A. games isn't supporting WiiU? What's in the know about CNN "opinions" about the Nintendo itself.
3. How do we react from it. Of course it's impossible to have everything be Sunshine and Rainbows on the news front of things. But the important thing to do is. How do we react to it. Your example, NL making funny taglines. And possibly another is to take a break, grab your favorite drink, and go outside or something.
In short, NL don't do bad news on purpose. Sometimes it's good to know bad news, and well have fun.
Now if you excuse me, I need to grab some toilet paper for I am fresh out.
