As a lifelong Nintendo-only gamer (with the exception of a Sega Genesis many years ago), there are a few games that I have missed out on that I would like to play (namely Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Elder Scrolls). With the WiiU actually being powerful enough for these developers to make games for, what do you think the chances are of either the new games coming to WiiU, or even compliations of every game in the series so people like me can finally have a chance to play them?
It's more than likely we'll see games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim GOTY Edition and BioShock Infinite on the Wii U. But I don't believe compilations of all past BioShock, Assassin's Creed, or Mass Effect games are on the way. When it comes to the Wii U I'd get my hopes up for the new games not the old ones. You might get lucky though.
I'm in the same boat as you... I just gonna wait it out a year and if the compliations don't come out. I can always buy a 360 relatively cheap after the supposive 720 comes out if I choose too in 2013/2014.
I'm just interested in Mass effect and dragon age series and skyrim of course...
There should be a cool, not lazy, Super Mario Collection.
Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3 Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels Super Mario World Super Mario 64 Super Mario Sunshine (BTW, this NEEDS a 3DS remake)
Yeah, there should be, & it'd be even cooler if they(Nintendo) included the arcade Donkey Kong/Jr./3/Mario Bros./Vs. SMB, & All Night Nippon SMB(Altered Nes SMB), not to mention the SM Land games. That would be one awesome package. Throwing in Yoshi's Island wouldn't be too bad, although there is always argument over whether it is a Mario, or Yoshi game. I consider it a hybrid Mario-spin-off-starring-Yoshi game myself. But, to each his/her own.
'Tis a possibility, but if I were you, I'd just buy a PS3 or X360 — whichever you prefer — and play those games right away. Both the X360 and PS3 are very cheap now, as are the games you just mentioned.
