They should just make a Mario platformer with Paper Mario story and ideas.

I mean, I loved Super Paper Mario, but let's be honest, if it was just a platformer, it would be a joke compared to most Mario platformers.

I totally agree. I hate myself a little for wanting ANOTHER Mario game...but when other systems are coming out with with HD/Remasters/Ports faster than Kim Kardashian goes through a marriage...it couldn't hurt to have another amazing NEW Mario game.

I still think most of the stuff they have listed for 2015 will be delayed.

Even the ones with confident release dates also seem to be.

If they give a season I expect the next one (Or the one after). If they give a month I expect a 1-3 month delay on top of that.

By the looks of it, a more staggered flow of releases might actually improve Nintendo's ability to deliver content and over a longer term.

Seeing Nintendo were hiring more staff in May, I suspect we might see less delays and more games now.

I also suspect those hirings inflated that big loss they just posted.

Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?

Last time I checked SMTxFE and Devil's Third didn't have a release date. I can see Devil's Third coming in 2015, but since we have heard almost nothing about SMTxFE, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come until 2016. What else are we going to see in 2016?

  • Metroid
  • Animal Crossing
  • and probably another 3D Mario platformer

It will be disappointing enough to wait until 2016 for a new metroid, I hope they announce something soon. A 2d like fusion for 3DS and a prime like installment for the Wii U and I would have to get both. Wish it would happen in 2015.

Metroid isn't going to happen until late 2016 or early 2017.

@Dreamsleep I'd kill for a Bowser game, sorta like the first few sentences you said about a Wario game. You need to defeat Peach, and you go about levels like you did in Paper Mario: TTYD, in Super Bowser Bros, where you literally destroyed everything in your path. I need a game like that in my life.

That would be cool, too!

I'm cautiously optimistic for Zelda Wii U to release by holiday next year. Gamecube didn't have to wait long for Wind Waker and they'll have had plenty of dev time for Zelda U by then.

A 2D Metroid for the 3DS and a 3D Metroid for the Wii U are very likely. Nintendo said some time ago that they're planning on giving both styles of Metroid some love again. I could possibly see a 2D Metroid (for 3DS) by the end of 2015, but a 3D Metroid probably won't happen until 2016. 2015 already promises games like Zelda, Star Fox, and Splatoon. Unless they're planning to make up for the slow releases of 2013 and 2014, I'd say 2015 has enough games to satisfy the Wii U owners, and that a 2016 release is more likely. I'd love to see one next year, but I doubt we'll see it.
