It is disappointing how so many 3rd Parties are cutting back their support but their are a lot of Indies, which are technically 3rd Party. Also smaller publishers will find it easier to stand out on Wii U which could lead to some awesome exclusives or just games in general. When a door shuts, a window opens. hopefully the window will be used
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
yup, unless you trust AE games, what's definitely over 9000% not recommended

It's going to be much the same situation as the Wii from now on. It'll occasionally get a 3rd party gem, but don't expect to see much of what the PS4 and Xbone are getting. At least indie support is looking better than last generation.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Am I the only one who knew this was going to happen?
No, but some hoped it wouldn't. And 3rd Parties seemed committed to WIi U when it launched, then out of no where they all back out, some even before their first game was released on Wii U.

At first I thought it wouldn't be like this...but when you think about it, its kinda obvious. 3rd parties just don't want to try anything different whenever Nintendo does something new.

Why should they when Nintendo hasn't made a case of why the Wii U is a gamechanger?
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
I'd imagine that Wii U will hit a number of users where it makes sense to produce for the console. Gonna guess a lot will depend on what happens between now and the end of the year with sales.

Sadly the problem isn't just the install base. People sometimes own multiple consoles but don't buy 3rd party games on Nintendo because of graphics or online. If people were willing to buy 3rd party games on Wii U for features like GamePad functionality and Miiverse, then that would help.
But a larger install base will also help

Well it depends if you are talking about AAA titles like AC or the Arkham games then it surely does look that way. I believe that indie companies will support the Wii U for awhile though.
The main problem I see is the lack of communication between Nintendo and third parties, the have never really said or showed why its a gamechanger. Sony and MS have both done that with the PS4 and the Xbox One. I mean yeah the gamepad is a nice step but they need to show how its used different from say remote play that the Vita offers for PS4 owners.
Honestly I hate to say this but if you can only afford one system well you are going to have to decide do you like playing Nintendo games more or third party games?

It sucks but tbh I didn't even notice. I just buy nintendo franchises anyway (lucky me I guess...). I really hope they'll get some support when sales increase thx to mario kart 8 but I wouldn't bet on it...
No offense but it is that kind of mentality that hurts Nintendo getting more 3rd Party. If you don't buy 3rd Party on Nintendo then Nintendo won't get 3rd party which means there are less reasons to buy a Nintendo system making it harder for Nintendo to make money...
