I got Mercs and NFL Football '94 Starring Joe Montana for the Genesis at a Play-n-Trade... Now I need to buy a Genesis.

The biggest problem I had with Mercs on Genesis is that they took out the two player co-op mode.

On a more random, yet retro note. WHY on earth didn't they make a He-Man game for the NES? A Pee wee's playhouse game would of also struck Gold. Ahhh(Then again, LJN probably would of been in charge. Double eek! Still, what could of been!

I think the main reason they didnt make a He-Man game for the NES is because He-man was pretty much over with by the time the NES came out. The original He-man ran from September 1983 to December 1985 for two seasons only. The NES was just only two months old in NA when He-man was done. By the time the NES became really popular He-man was gone for a few years and they were on to newer cartoons like TMNT for example. Of course I could be wrong this is just my thoughts on the subject.

Just got Ys: The Ark of Napishtim for the PS2. I hear it's way better than the PSP version, so I hope it's worth all the bother to track down.

I wouldn't count it, but still, Tactics Ogre is a fantastic choice of purchase.

Wow, seems a lot of peope's Gamestops are already selling the retro games. I should go check if mine has any yet. Might find something good. Doubt it.

How much did all that come to? Because a lot of those are heavily sought after games, especially Goemon...

Didn't stop them from making a THREE STOOGES game.
And Fester's Quest (since it was made two years before the movie) and The Lone Ranger come to mind as two other NES games based on significantly older properties.
And let's not forget the NES is the only console with TWO Tom Sawyer games. (well, one of them Famicom, close enough)

Isn't Evil Zone kind of expensive now? (pretty sure it's the game I'm thinking of. A fighting game with amazingly stupid voiced dialogue?)

I ordered a Shadow of the Ninja cart for $12 shipped from ebay.
From Japan, I ordered a loose Final Mission for the Famicom (the more punishing version of the already hard S.C.A.T.), since there's no way I'm going to afford the US version now. Along with King Colossus (CIB) and Mega Panel (loose) for the JP Mega Drive (probably shouldn't have admitted to the last one). ... and ... a new Genesis 6-Pak. Crazy I'd get a better price on a US game from a Japanese seller than a US seller, but okay.

I don't think so. I only bought it for $10, and it goes for about $20 after shipping on Amazon.

Crazy! I was just about to randomly download Shadow of the Ninja off of the Wii's VC last night before even seeing this, but i checked out Nintendo Life's review along with Nintendo Power's negative comment towards it, and read the luke warm reader comments and passed on it. Maybe i should justgo in with an open mind and see for myself if this is really is a Gnarly Gaiden or a Ninja Nasty. Have you played Shinobi III for the Genesis? It's on the Wii's VC and apperantly aside from Gaiden I and II it's one of thee' best Ninja Games around in Toobular Toon town. Shinob of coursei is nowhere near as cool as Ryu Hayabusa, but eh...As far as ninja gaming goes he's probably the next best thing.

Regarding Shadow of the Ninja, I think it is pretty fun. The real challenge in this one as opposed to Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 is that you only have 5 continues (which are actually lives). I would love to try out the co-op with someone sometime. Overall it's a simplistic game but quite a challenge due to the limited lives. The music is great and they graphics are just alright. Gameplay is pretty tight though and playing as a Ninja is always fun. at least for me. I would say download if you are looking to test your Ninja skills. If you don't download it it will not be a big loss, though having a physical complete copy i$ nice.

I have Shinobi III on the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the PS3 and I have tried it out a little bit but to be honest I wasn't a big fan of it and I don't think I'm a real fan of Genesis games in general either. To me, there just seems to be some quality missing form them. I don't know, maybe it's just the 12 year old kid that loved the SNES still in me. Anyway, I didn't like the throwing ninja stars and use your sword when up close Joe Musashi style. Maybe I just had to give it more time. I suspect I will give it another chance sometime, but eh, no rush..

To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
