This might cause some debate here but I was wondering what does Retro mean to you? Like what systems would you consider retro? Would you consider a remake of a retro game on a newer system as retro? Is the the number of years that a system has been around even though it is still in production? Anyway my thoughts on retro are..... I think what people mean by retro is anything thats not this current gen system (Wii, Playstation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, DS). My definition would be anything up to Dreamcast is retro (at least 10 years old and out production for while) so in my book Gamecube, Xbox, wouldnt be considered retro and defiantly not PS2 but thats just me. As for remakes of games themselves sure Super Mario All Stars on the Wii for example may be a port of the SNES version but I dont consider the Wii version retro. So what are some of your thoughts?

retro is 8bit and less.
pac man, space invaders, donkey kong, 16x16 pixel characters

2 generations back. And why is that? Because if the Wii U comes out, I won't consider the Wii already as retro.
As well: the good old days are mostly retro.

I dont think that any Xbox consoles will ever have the ''Retro Feel''. Know what i mean?

This is a tough question. For me, retro means anything from the Nintendo 64 on back. The moment we hit Dreamcast, I don't really consider it retro.

Anything with the word "Windows".
But on a serious note I agree with @AD3Supa.
I consider handhelds to be retro from the Game Boy Color and backwards. (Game Gear is included)

Commented on this before, but I got a much more solid answer now so here we go. Retro (in terms of video games) is game consoles that are no longer sold in stores. (used games don't count.)
