Inspired by other fan threads on this website, I now present the end-all, definitive Pokemon Fan-Club thread. (Plus, I haven't seen one done before on here yet) Discuss your favorite Pokemon memories, favorite Pokemon, games, strategies, anime episodes, or just shout out your Pokemon team. I like Grass and Psychic Pokemon, for some reason everything in my life revolves around the colors Green and Purple. I keep having dreams where I have telekinesis and all the girls I ever liked, their favorite color was purple, mine is green.

Ivysaur, Gengar, Slowbro, Exxegutor to name a few favorites. Best memory is Pokemon Red, my dad bought it for me and a Gameboy Pocket (red) on Christmas... I lost it both the game and Gameboy... it makes me cry when I think about it. Idk why.. maybe just that my dad bought it for me and he had to work really hard cause he had 3 jobs.

How does the same nurse get to every Pokemon Center?

They are not the same, they just look the same.

I mean come on Metal Mario, it's obvious that all the nurses aren't the same even though they look exactly alike and share names! Sheesh! xP

My favorite pokes are Chikorita and Suicune :3

It's funny I just fired up Soul Silver for the first time in months today. Still need to grind to get my Blaziken a move it learns at Lv. 66... Come on Artemis!

My favorite Pokemon of all time is Slowking. It always keeps its cool, has a large movepool, and just rocks the house down, especially my super-awesome Emperor from SoulSilver.

My favorite Pokemon atm are probably either Bulbasuar, Luigia or Aritcuno.
my current team in Silver: Noctowl, Vaperon,Lugia,Mewtwo,Bayleef, and Totodile. just grinding as of now.

My SoulSilver team I'm training into the Lv. 100's:
Meganium (Dragoon)- "The Supporter"- knows Protect, Aromatherapy, Giga Drain, and Frenzy Plant
Slowking (Emperor)- "The Tactician"- knows Ice Beam, Psychic, Surf, and Trick Room
Gyarados (Poseidon)"The Annoyance" knows Hydro Pump, Aqua Tail, Ice Fang, and Bite
Rhyperior (Spin Drill)- "The Tank"- knows Earthquake, Stone Edge, Poison Jab, and Hammer Arm
Amharos (Amphy)- "The Special Attacker"- knows Focus Blast, Thunder, Signal Beam, and Rock Climb
Scizor (Zangetsu)- "The Slasher"- knows Iron Head, Night Slash, X-Scissor, and Swords Dance

i remeber getting all 3 pokemon games red , blue and yellow being on christmas eve i think and the other 2 on christmas day lol yall think that would be crazy eh

Playing Pokemon Gold at zellers that one time was awsome i think i got it for christmas some years after that but i dont remeber that much

i remeber getting a clear ish blue gameboyadvance along with pokemon crystal, again on christmas day some year afters

never owned pokemon sapphire but my cousin got it for me while he got ruby etc etc but since he didnt want to play it anymore or something he ask me if i wasnt playing it anymore either and i either couldnt say no so i let him take it to eb games to sell it or watever you tell me if that sounded rude or not but i dont know

me parent bought me pokemon diamond and i believe i was in my second year of high school

i bought platinium my self a year or 2 later i think months after its release

i bought both heartgold and soulsilver and i definitly liked them bit more maybe because the other ones didnt seem so special in terms of design

and i plan only to get pokemon black as to save money for other games, me and my freind worked out a deal to trade each other the exclusive version pokemon plus to help each other get all the starters

as of right now we are working together to get all of the pokemon there ever is including event only ones via a certain method that isnt hacked or using action reply.

Never played any other Pokemon game besides Pokemon Red, and it was one of my favorite games of all time. It honestly transcended the realm of video games. Every single person I knew played Pokemon Red/Blue. I grew out of Pokemon after that game, but I will always remember Pokemon Red.

Heh, like it wasn't expected.

These are the most sacred rules of Pokemon:
1. Do not get both games.
2. The third game may be bought.
3. Game Sharks and ARs must never be used.
4. Your Pokemon deserve nicknames. Use them.
5. Using a Ditto automatically makes egg Pokemon inferior. Even if it doesn't, it actually does.
6. You cannot get a 100-win streak in the battle tower. Anyone who said they did is lying.
7. You can get a 100-win streak in the battle tower if you use legendaries.
8. Legendaries are for the weak.
9. Dunsparce is worthless. Stop trying to train it.
10. You will lose in the battle tower because of a dunsparce that knows glare.
11. Choosing an ace trainer as your avatar shows your inferiority.
12. Inferiority is directly proportional to the number of stars [on your trainer card] you cheated to get.
13. The third generation was beneficial to the Pokemon series. Shut up.
14. So was the fourth.
15. Anyone who said the first generation was the only good generation has forgotten that they aren't seven anymore.

So many great memories to be had with these games. I still remember getting Pokémon Red at the height of the fad, eleven years ago. The characters, the world, the battles, the trading system. Certainly a great Game Boy game. I loved this game, not just because it said Pokémon on the box, but because it was a highly polished and addictive game, with a clever battle system that was easy to get into yet incredibly complex. I had Red, my friends had Blue and Yellow. It was great battling and trading with them to get those critters you could not get.

Then came the second generation a year after I got Red. I bought Gold and was amazed at how much better the game had gotten since the original Red, Blue and Yellow versions. A new region to explore called Johto doubling the size of the game world, new moves, berries, 100 additional creatures to collect and many little touches that made the game more complex but also more playable. I loved this game because it did everything a sequel should and expanded upon the formula greatly. Gold, Silver and Crystal has not yet been topped if you do not count the remake.

Then came the leap to GBA. Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald took place in the new Hoenn region with strange new Pokémon. What I really like about these games is that there are two teams instead of one like Team Rocket in the earlier games. Team Magma and Team Aqua had opposing visions and one was your ally while the other was your enemy. Aqua wanted to expand the sea while Magma wanted to expand the landmass. The enemy team awakened one of two mighty legendary Pokémon: Groudon or Kyogre. In Emerald you had to take on both of these teams and both Pokémon were awakened, making it even cooler. Another great addition was the Battle Frontier. (Why is that not in Black or White? )

Then there was FireRed and LeafGreen. At first I was skeptical about this remake, but after seeing the classic adventure in full colour and expanded upon with seven new islands to explore and in the style of Ruby and Sapphire, I was sold. But the best thing was that it was full of all those old classic characters that you could not get in Hoenn. When you earned the ability to link Kanto with Hoenn, you could greatly expand your collection in both regions adding up to the longevity of both quests.

Diamond, Pearl and Platinum were the games that really improved upon the multiplayer as this was the first online game in the series. I loved the excitement of coming back after a few hours to find the Pokémon you were looking for in Sinnoh's all new Global Trade Station.

The second generation could not be beaten, however. That all changed when they released HeartGold/SoulSilver. You bet I was excited about the idea of a remake of my favourite game of all time. This was everything I loved about the originals and the few things that dissapointed me were mostly corrected. By far the best, most complete and most satisfying Pokémon game ever made, even though it's a remake.

I played the Japanese version of Black this fall but I have to say that this one feels a bit lacking. I particularly missed the Safari Zone and Battle Frontier. Thankfully, the multiplayer better than ever and, finally, the Pokémon battles are fully animated, making them much more dynamic and alive. I also liked the Unova region's American/Canadian vibe. Looking forward to the English version of Black/White. One more month, people, one more month.

I really want to buy the GBA games again someday. I sold them a long time ago, but didn't any of my other games... :/
