When they were made? Were they sold or promotional items? How common are they? Is it worth anything now? I have looked all over the web for info on this and all I could find out is it supposedly came out around the time Super Mario Bros 2.
If anyone could provide some info or direct me to a source that could I would really appreciate it. I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post these questions, I just couldn't find anything out about this coat.
Given the Nintendo Power logo, my first guess would be a prize from their "Player's Pulse" survey that ran every issue. (maybe one time? I know T-shirts were the preferred clothing to give away)
I don't believe Nintendo Power ran a regular mail-order shop until the mid '90s.
man i would love to get the crap pounded out of me for wearing that jacket.
just like back in high school!

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is. They often included jackets of that type as one of their prize giveaways.
I have a jacket from Super Mario Bros the Movie with Film Crew written on the back. It's soo cheese-tastic. Unfortunately i don't think its worth a lot as a friend of mine picked it up on ebay for me as a gift only 2-3 years ago and he wouldn't have paid a lot. I'm gonna hide it away for a few years and hope eventually someone will want it.
