Donkey Kong (1994) here as well. It's my favourite handheld platformer ever. Can beat the whole game in 1:20 hours.

(I'm better at DKC1 though, completing it 101% in 1 hour and 15 mins. There are some people even faster than me but they're using the shortcut pause cheat.

Mortal Kombat - as long as I played as Jax, I could just keep kicking my opponent to defeat.

I even discovered a few techniques I don't think anyone else has ever done before - the first one involves Jax, where you perform a jump kick, the grab them [START] as they drop to the ground - if you do this as a fatality, the opponent gets back up, but their animation doesn't finish, so they end up squatting as your strike a victory pose.

Similarly with Reptile, I'd do that move where he shoots a ball of energy at the oppenent, and as they are launched into the air, I slide underneath them (I have to slide before impact), and they'd end up suspended in mid air as Reptile does a victory pose.

The chances are, someone else had discovered these "techniques" (glitches), but I wan't able to consult the Internet, so I discovered them for myself at least.

If Mortal Kombat and Donkey Kong Country are original GB / GBA games I could have selected some ported classics like Donkey Kong Country, A Link to The Past and Super Mario World as well.

And btw. Mortal Kombat on GB has no Jax. No Mortal Kombat has Jax. Jax was introduced in MKII. And apart from that the GB versions are horrible, except maybe MKII.
MK1 and MK3 on the Game Boy were terrible handheld ports.

Metroid: Zero Mission. I even made a 100% club devoted to us completionists of the game somewhere on this site, but I don't feel like finding it.
