i remeber a friend i had when i was 9 that had e reader. we traded pokemon cards back in the day. but one day when she let me try out her E-reader on my GBA SP and i became hooked. i played baloon wars for a long time along with donkey kong and the cards you could use for super mario advanced:super mario 3. i had loads of fun. sometimes i wish nintendo brought this to the dsi leting you scan cards with the camera
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
It was also awesome for Animal Crossing. The card reader idea had some merit, but never really seemed to take off. I'm surprised there wasn't more support for the Animal Crossing cards though - in my area, they sold out extremely quickly and then just kind of disappeared.
I have the full Animal Crossing e series along with DK, Ice Climber, Mario Bros, Pinball, and Tennis. At the time, I thought it was pretty cool, but looking back, it seems pretty pointless.
I also still have one, and I have the Mario Party e-Reader card game (with "board"), which is essentially a card game in which certain key cards have minigames or other activities on them, which you then scan into the eReader when played, and might for instance have 2 participants duel in a minigame to steal items from the loser.
Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -

I have this too, and thought it was a decent (if very silly) card game to play.
Just recently found a GameBoy Player for my old GameCube, so I'm hoping that the next time I get to play the minigames will all be on a larger screen.
So jealous - my wife is a huge Animal Crossing fan, and I like the game too. The e-cards are awesome, but are very tough to collect now. Once in a while you can find a nice set on eBay, but otherwise it's just waiting and watching for some to pop up.

Itwasn't even released over here. Although I'm not sure if the EU versions of the games that supported it work with it. I remember there being cards in the US for Super Mario Bros. 3 and Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire.
Had it and thought it was Okay. Not really great, but not really bad either. Have the DK junior cards somewhere along with the Clu Clu land ones, but I only have 4 of the 5 Clu Clu cards.
