Ok, seriously... When I first heard about this game, I was mega sceptical about it being an FSP game. As most of you know, I'm getting very bored with the masses of mediocre FPS games out there. That was before I saw this!
And all I can say is... WOW... I honestly thought that the new XCOM FPS was going to be another Halo clone. But check this out, you play as a detective and a police man who's first mission is to go into a woman's house because she rang the police saying she saw a monster. But just look at this, an FPS based on 1950s American Surberbia, sure there's Fallout 3 which is "sorta" based on the same setting, but before the Fallout. Even so, I love 50s decor and theme, plus the Detective and police team up makes up for all these annoying millertary FPS games that multiply like rabbits.
Looks alright, I'm hoping for a little more variety in enemies instead of black ooze, the setting is cool though and it does look intense. But in terms of detective/police (procedural) theme, I don't think it will beat the Condemned series. Condemned perfected the procedural FPS.
Now playing: (Wii - DJ Hero 2) (WiiWare / VC - -- / --) (Game Cube - Second Sight) (DS / GBA - Eragon / --) (Xbox360 - Burnout Paradise) (XBLA / XBIG - Puzzle Quest / --) Wii FC - 2346 1195 9083 7926 XBOX360 Gamertag - BrazCanMan
Yeah, it looks good so far, but you should see some comments made about the game on other websites. They're another reason why I hate humanity.

As a fan of the original XCOM games... this looks like complete ****. Screw you 2K, this is not XCOM.
So is my friend, he's been a big fan since Terror from the Deep (the second game) and he kinda likes it though he wished it was a turn based strategy game.
Looks very interesting so far. I think i had read that it was going to be more of a standard "Halo-ish" game originally, then they scrapped their early plans and went in the direction they did.
When I first heard reviews/comments about this game, I imagined it would be very inspired by the Call of Cthulhu mythos. After watching the trailer, it appears that I am sadly mistaken.
