Ones my roommate talked non-stop about (he's a pretty big JRPG fan): Tales of Vesparia Blue Dragon Lost Odyssey
ToV - tried it, didn't like it, didn't even realize anybody remembered that game Blue Dragon - Played the demo and found it to be a bore Lost Odyssey - Sold it last summer

I got a 360 last week. So far I only have Reach, Alan Wake, Burnout Paradise, and Banjo-Kazooie N&B, but all of them... are fantastic. Glad I decided to get one :3

That's awesome! Glad you're enjoying your new 360. I noticed that you don't have an RPG. You should think about getting one. I recommend Dragon Age and/or Fallout 3.

Any notable shooters on the 360? Notably unique and I don't give a crap about graphics or the twenty weapons you usually get. I think I'll check out Vesperia. Is fallout 3 like a build your own shooter like borderlands or just straight leveling?

Fallout 3 is not a shooter, it's a first person CRPG (a la Elder Scrolls) with Guns. As per your request, you might want to check out Vanquished, since it seems to be doing some pretty interesting things with the shooting genre.

Just be warned with Bayonetta that you are killing angels and you will be summoning major Biblical Demons as allies. Gameplay is fantastic but for some Christian religious persons it may be bit too much.
Vanquish on the other hand is amazing.

That's a good point. Since I'm not religious it is a non-issue for me but some people might not like the whole vibe of the game.

I have a 360. I only have one game for it though- Tales of Vesperia. I borrowed/rented Eternal Sonata and Star Ocean 4 though. My friend recently got Enchanted Arms for $5, so we may play that eventually. I am thinking about trying out Lost Odyssey because I heard it's a pretty good game.
I would of course recommend Bioshock as a general great game.

Well this may be my 300th attempt at asking about a 360, but for once, I really think it might happen this time. I have $110 right now and I'm looking at buying a 4GB 360 (I'll wait to upgrade until Christmas) and Halo 3, I'm buying it for the exclusives of course, my trusty PS3 gets all the multiplatform games. But my list has really increased, a lot larger than I originally thought: Halo 3, Halo 3ST, Halo: Reach, Halo Wars, Fable II, L4D, Gears of War, Shadow Complex, Perfect Dark: Zero, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and probably some other downloads I can't think of right now.
Edit: I don't know what the hell is up with Halo 3: ODST up there
okay, my sisters boyfriend is giving away his 360 to me sometime in the near future, and i need help. now, i already know what games to buy and such (Super Street Fighter IV, Soulcalibur IV, and BlazBlue FTW!) but i have one big question:
IS XBOX LIVE WORTH IT? this is my big question overall. i want to play games online, but i dont care as much about the other stuff that live offers such as in game chat or achievements and stuff like that. is there a way to simply get the online functionality, but leave out the other stuff? if not, is the subscription fee really worth it for someone like me who doesnt play online that often?

You do get 1 month of free Gold when you sign up with a new account, so you can always test it out yourself. I really wish that they made online and all that other stuff separate because it really sucks paying a subscription fee.

Bioshock has RPG elements, but it is a shooter at heart. Just an extraordinarily fantastic single player shooter. Which is why it is not recommended as a great RPG. Seriously, if you have any interest in FPS games; do yourself a favour and buy this game. And don't forget its upcoming "sequel", Bioshock Infinite.

Luckily, most of those games you've mentioned can be bought for pretty cheap (except for Reach, which was released recently.)
